Stotfold Boot Swap Shop This is a page for exchange of football boots and wellies. This group is run from my house in Stotfold, Bedfordshire.

The idea is to help the environment, with the added bonus of saving parents some money. If you have some football boots or wellies you would like to swap for another size, then please send me a message via FaceBook. (Thanks to all the people who donated their boots to help me get this group started).

Football Boots.

Some sizes I have a lot of, and I really need the space.

So I have spare boots in adult size 1 & 2.
Plastic moulded boots
No swap needed.
I don’t have time to take photos or write descriptions sorry for now.
At least a few pairs in each size.

(Perhaps some more small sizes to follow)

We often get asked is the boot swap shop still running. Yes - we are (but just slow on updates).
You can still message us the same way.
It helps if you put at the top of the message if it’s for Wellies or Football boots.
Wellies are kept and managed by Lizzie.
Football boots are with Amanda.

In a few months the football boots will then be held in Hitchin (as I’m moving) but hopefully shouldn’t affect things too much as I know a lot of you travel from there anyway.

Update on How Boot Swap Shop runs:

Lizzie is now helping with Stotfold Boot Swap Shop (thank you so much).
She will be doing all of the welly boot swaps, and is also in Stotfold (on the greenacres side).
Amanda will still be doing the football swaps from her house in Stotfold.

We will both be using this page to put updates and take requests.
BUT, to make it easy, could you please make separate requests for football boots and wellies.
If you could start each message with either FOOTBALL or WELLIES that would make our lives even easier.

We both have different hours that we are available, so please be patient but do send those requests across.

Since I’ve tried to restart swaps for football boots I’ve not had any requests yet.
I am nearly always home on Tuesday & Wednesday nights 7:30-8:30pm, possibly other times on request but will be slightly trickier.
Please just give me a little notice as I’m not quite so quick to reply.

Sorry for the silence from my end, life has just been too busy.
I’m trying to work out a way I can re-open but in a limited way.
First …… I just don’t have the storage. Wellies take up more space, and to be honest I feel that swapping football boots is more important due to the cost.
So from now on I won’t be swapping welly boots.
Is anyone interested in taking this on? You’d need storage at least the size of one of those plastic garden lockable containers. I can give advice on how to run it. Message me privately if you think you’d like to do this please.

With football boots - I’m rarely home lately, so am going to try to set aside an hour a week of an evening I’ll always be home. Details to follow, please don’t message me with requests yet as I’m enjoying a rare weekend of not working.

Hi there, bit of an update for the swap shop.
I have to close it for a while, I’m not sure how long, at least a month, maybe more.
Sorry about this.
I have too much going on in my personal life, I just don’t have the headspace at the moment. Also this time of year is always busy for my small upcycling business, and I’m trying to find myself a proper job on top of everything else.

Hi, I’ve got quite a few people who’ve contacted me today as their children are starting middle/high school and don’t have any boots to swap but are looking for football boots.
Sorry but the group is based on a swapping system. I don’t want to be harsh but if I kept handing out boots with no swaps we would end up running out of boots. My suggestion is to get your first pair from eBay or fb marketplace where they are quite reasonably priced, then we are happy to help you next time.
** And remember, tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day for swaps before school returns.
