During May 2026, our team responded to 81 incidents across the region.

The heatmap shows just how far and wide our activity reached, with each incident representing someone in urgent need of specialist pre-hospital care.

Behind every number is a patient, a family, and a team working together when minutes matter.

Thank you to our clinicians, volunteers, supporters and donors who make this vital service possible. Your support helps keep our team ready to respond when we are needed most.

Officially our busiest month on record!

Despite two bank holidays, we've had our busiest month EVER!

Our volunteers have given an incredible amount of time, providing support to across all 4 counties in our patch.

None of this would be possible without the support of businesses, charitable donations and donations from the public.

🚨 Bank Holiday Stats 🚨

While many people were enjoying the Bank Holiday, our volunteer responders were out across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside, providing critical care when it was needed most.

Over the Bank Holiday, we:

🚑 Mobilised to 20 incidents
⏱️ Donated over 96 hours on call
🩺 Spent more than 8.5 hours treating patients at incidents

Our youngest patient was just 2 years old.

Every callout represents someone’s worst day, and our team gives their time, skills and dedication voluntarily to be there when it matters.

None of this would be possible without the incredible commitment of our volunteer responders, and the vital funding we receive from members of the public, charitable organisations and local businesses.

Your support keeps our responders equipped, trained and ready to help save lives across the North West.

One of our volunteer responders attended this incident, working alongside the North West Air Ambulance team and North West Ambulance Service clinicians to stabilise the patient before onward transport to hospital.

Craig’s incredible challenge continues! 👣

After completing the Camino de Santiago, Craig has reached an amazing milestone, but his journey is only halfway done.

Next, he takes on St Cuthbert’s Way, another 100 km trek, continuing to raise money for his two chosen charities.

Craig is now just £400 short of his £1000 fundraising goal.

A huge thanks to the Help Appeal - County Air Ambulance Trust and British Association for Immediate Care for their recent donation which allowed us to replace our team vehicle response bags.

With nothing going to waste, our old bags will become training bags.
