We're looking for donations of new fleece blankets for babies and children staying in hospital. A soft, cosy blanket can bring warmth, reassurance and a little extra comfort during what can be a difficult time for a child and their family.

We are absolutely delighted to announce our 2026 Annual Christmas Appeal! 🎄🎁

✨This year, for the very first time, we simply couldn’t decide between two truly wonderful causes, so we have decided to collect for BOTH of them! 🎅❤️

We are proud to be supporting local adults across our community through two amazing initiatives:

✨ 'CHRISTMAS YAY!' by Missing Peace Wellbeing + Support – This wonderful project provides a festive meal, drinks, and warm companionship on Christmas Day for local adults who would otherwise be spending the day alone. We are collecting gift donations so every single attendee has a special present to unwrap on Christmas Day! 🎁

✨Airedale Hospital Community Charity Christmas Appeal – We are spreading extra festive cheer to local hospital patients by gathering gifts for elderly individuals, ensuring they have a lovely present to open on Christmas morning while in hospital! ❄️🌟

How the appeal works:

We are inviting everyone—our wonderful residents, relatives, team members, and any members of the public- to drop off new, unwrapped gift donations.

🎁 Gift Inspiration:

Chocolates, biscuits, games, socks, gloves, scarves, and gift sets are all fantastic choices! (Please note: no alcohol donations can be accepted).

📍 Drop-off Locations & Dates:

Donations can be made between now and 10th December at any of our four homes:

🏡 Craven Nursing Home – Keighley Road, Skipton
🏡 Ghyll Royd Care Home – New Ghyll Royd, Guiseley
🏡 Springbank Care Home – Howden Road, Silsden
🏡 Steeton Court Nursing Home – Steeton Hall Gardens, Station Road, Steeton

Simply ring the doorbell when you arrive at any of our four care homes, and a member of our team will be delighted to welcome you! 🔔

🎃🎤 A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Mayfield View care home, who not only kindly donated a karaoke machine for our elderly ward, but also demonstrated it in style with their fantastic Halloween costumes!

Music and singing can have such a positive impact on patients, helping to improve wellbeing and encourage interaction. The karaoke machine will provide opportunities to sing along, enjoy live music and join in with musical instruments.

Thank you, Mayfield View, for helping us bring more music, smiles and laughter to our patients. 🎶🧡

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to support Airedale Hospital & Community Charity through the Co-op Local Community Fund, helping to raise an amazing £3,064 during 2025/26.

These funds will help us support families staying with us who have poorly little ones, bringing them comfort and calm when they need it most.

From everyone at Airedale, thank you to the Co-op, its colleagues and every member that chose to support us. Together, you're helping children and families feel cared for far beyond their medical treatment 🧡

As part of their A&E Appreciation Week a few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome the Rapid Relief Team to Airedale Hospital.

More than 125 colleagues from across the Trust dropped by to enjoy lots of goodies, including delicious hot chocolates topped with whipped cream and marshmallows, cake, fresh fruit and plenty of other treats.

The visit gave our colleagues a well deserved opportunity to take a break, catch up with colleagues and feel appreciated for the incredible work they do every day.

A huge thank you to the for their generosity and kindness. Your support brought lots of smiles to Team Airedale and we are so grateful. 🧡

We're inviting children, schools and community groups to design the official Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Christmas Card. Get creative with paints, pencils, crayons, collage or any other art medium and let your imagination shine!

🎉 We did it! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, businesses, staff and supporters, we've reached our £150,000 Emergency Department Appeal target! 🧡

This amazing achievement will help fund improvements beyond NHS funding, including a refreshed children's waiting area with sensory features, enhanced bereavement facilities, and improvements to support seriously ill young patients and their families.

Every donation, fundraising event and challenge has helped make a lasting difference for the 75,000 people who attend Airedale's Emergency Department each year.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen. Together, you've helped create a more comforting and supportive environment for patients and families when they need it most.

Although this appeal has reached its target, donations can still be made to support future Emergency Department projects through our website or by contacting us directly.

Can we get a huge to Keighley based Timothy Taylor's Brewery.
The Timothy Taylor's Charitable Committee recently made a whopping £2,000 donation to Airedale's Sunbeam Support Group and we're so grateful for their support.
