The Hive Community Centre The Hive is a community centre in Silsden, managed by The Hive Silsden CIO a registered UK Charity

The Hive Community Centre is for use by the Silsden community and the surrounding areas. We have a range of activities catering for all age groups from pre-natal care, stay and play groups for 0-5’s, youth clubs to Saturday Night Socials! Our large activity room is available to hire for private parties, events, meetings and training facilities for the general public, local groups, businesses and o

rganisations. We host our own events throughout the year and aim to provide entertainment and fun for all. The Hive Community Centre is managed by The Hive, Silsden CIO which is a registered charity (1182526). All profits from our activities, hire and events are put back into the charity to help us help you.

Join us for Maternity Circles on Tuesday 8th September, 12pm–2pm✨
Maternity Circles offers a warm and supportive space for pregnant families, new parents and their babies to meet others, access advice and support, and enjoy some time together. 👶💕

After everything that’s been happening at The Hive, having groups back in the building feels like such a big milestone – we can’t wait to welcome you all back! 🥰

🏷️Our amazing volunteer Carol will be looking after our stall! She has loads of goodies ready to put out so why not come along and have a look what we have🐝All proceeds will be going towards our current refurbishment!

We’re on the final push to get our painting work finished, and we’d love a few extra pairs of hands to help us get over the finish line!

If you’re available Monday to Friday between 9am–3pm, we’d be incredibly grateful for any time you can spare🐝

We had some fantastic volunteers come along to help us a week or two ago, so if you were one of those amazing people and you’re available again that would be great✨

We’re Hiring – Youth Engagement Lead

The Hive Community Centre, Silsden is looking for an enthusiastic and approachable Youth Engagement Lead to help us develop more opportunities for young people in Silsden.

16 hours per week
£15.00 per hour
Fixed-term for 12 months, with any extension subject to continued funding
Some evening and occasional weekend working required

This is a hands-on youth engagement and development role. You’ll spend time listening to young people, finding out what they want and helping turn their ideas into new opportunities and projects.

You’ll work alongside our existing youth provision and help develop youth voice, a Youth-Led Steering Group and wider projects including the proposed pump track and improvements to community spaces.

Experience of working or volunteering with children or young people is essential, but you don’t need to have followed a traditional youth-work career path.
