The Hive Community Centre The Hive is a community centre in Silsden, managed by The Hive Silsden CIO a registered UK Charity

The Hive Community Centre is for use by the Silsden community and the surrounding areas. We have a range of activities catering for all age groups from pre-natal care, stay and play groups for 0-5’s, youth clubs to Saturday Night Socials! Our large activity room is available to hire for private parties, events, meetings and training facilities for the general public, local groups, businesses and organisations. We host our own events throughout the year and aim to provide entertainment and fun for all. The Hive Community Centre is managed by The Hive, Silsden CIO which is a registered charity (1182526). All profits from our activities, hire and events are put back into the charity to help us help you.

Important notice
Following a formal review, the Hive Community Centre will officially close and wind up its operations on 30th September 2026.

After 10 years of serving our community, this difficult decision has been made due to funding and operational challenges.

The Hive is very proud of everything that has been achieved and the positive impact this has made together with our supporters, volunteers and community partners.

💛 Farewell Charlotte 💛

Last Thursday we said a very sad farewell to our wonderful Marketing Assistant, Charlotte, as she moves on to pastures new. 😢

Charlotte first came to The Hive over two years ago as an apprentice, and since then she has become such an important part of our little team.

The work she has done for The Hive has always gone above and beyond. And it certainly hasn’t just been social media! From admin and helping set up Messy Play, to getting stuck in at Silsden Gala, Christmas Markets and countless other events and activities – Charlotte has always been there to lend a hand.

But more than anything, we’re going to miss Charlotte herself. Her laughter, her sense of humour and the fun she brought to the office every day. 💛🐝

We wish her absolutely all the luck in the world for her next adventure. Her new employer is incredibly lucky to be gaining such a talented, hardworking and genuinely lovely person.

Thank you for everything, Charlotte. We’re going to miss you terribly. 💛

And to everyone else… please bear with us if Emily and I don't respond quite as quickly as we normally would while we adjust to being a team of two in the office.

We are currently in mourning. 😭😂

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO TODAY?

Why not have a wander around Silsden and see something a little different? Today, homes and organisations across the town are taking part in the Silsden Jumble Trail, organised by Climate Action Silsden. 🌱♻️

And while you’re following the trail, make sure you pop along to The Hive Community Centre on Elliott Street. 🐝

Our wonderful volunteers will be outside The Hive running our Jumble Trail stall, with all money raised going towards much-needed funds for The Hive – your independent local charity supporting children, young people and families in Silsden and the surrounding area.

Have a rummage, grab yourself a bargain and help support The Hive at the same time.

💛 Charity starts at home – and supporting local really does make a difference.
