🎉Yesterday Stamford WI was congratulated on reaching its 10th birthday by the Board of Trustees at the Annual General Meeting for the Lincolnshire South Federation with president Karen collecting our award.

That’s over 100 meetings we’ve hosted teaching and inspiring the local community, bringing people together and enjoying some incredible memories (& only repeating a presenter once!!)

📖📚📙Happy World Book Day! 📕📖👩‍🏫

Did you know that as part of your membership you get access to various sub-groups including our book club?!

Stamford WI’s book club is a thriving iniative in which members meet monthly to discuss a book, the themes of which vary throughout the year. Organiser Susan even hosts both an evening and afternoon meeting offering the opportunity for more members to be able to attend!

In the past 12 months the highest rated read has been The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul at 8.8/10 closely followed by The Gentleman in Moscow at 8.6/10.

The group have even been invited to exclusive book launches and had authors attend to join in the discussion!

Stamford WI members ‘Showed the Love’ at our February meeting!

The Women's Institute participates annually in the ‘Show The Love’ campaign every February, where members craft and display green hearts to raise awareness about climate change and protect the environment. It is a nationwide effort to turn love for local communities and the planet into action, often in collaboration with The Climate Coalition.

Treasurer Lorna did a wonderful presentation on local causes and initiatives in what was an eye opening discussion.
