National Youth Work Week 2026 | Where Futures Begin 💜

Today we're highlighting how youth work has helped address the challenge of limited funding across both education and youth provision. Despite increasing pressures on services, we've worked creatively with partners, secured funding, sourced donations and maximised local resources to ensure young people could continue accessing opportunities, support and activities. Take a look at some of the ways we've helped overcome this challenge. 👇💜

National Youth Work Week 2026 | Where Futures Begin 💜

Today we're highlighting how youth work has helped tackle one of the challenges facing young people: being out of education, employment and training. Building confidence, developing skills and creating opportunities are all key parts of helping young people take positive steps towards their future. Take a look at some of the ways we've supported young people in this area. 👇💜

03/11/2026

For many young people, their future begins with a conversation, a safe space, a new opportunity or someone who believes in them.

This week is National Youth Work Week and The National Youth Agency's theme this year is; Where Futures Begin!

As we celebrate National Youth Work Week and this year's theme, Where Futures Begin, we want to take a moment to reflect on the ways youth work has supported young people in our community, helping them navigate challenges, build confidence, and access new opportunities. 💜

🎃👻 A Spooky start to half-term treat at Paines Mill! 🍿🕸️

Although our usual youth clubs take a break during the school holidays, our support for young people doesn’t stop! 🧡

Today, the St Neots Youth Engagement Team has been at Paines Mill Youth Hostel, where we work in partnership to support residents aged 16–25.

This morning, we treated the young people to a spooky brunch, and we’re now enjoying a Halloween movie marathon together! 🎬🎃

It’s just one of the ways we adapt what we do during the holidays to continue supporting local young people, creating opportunities to connect and making time for fun and positive experiences.

A little spooky food and some Halloween films! 👻🧡

🎃👻 What a blast at our Youth Council-led Halloween Farm & Craft Market today! 🕸️🧡

We’ve had a fantastic day filled with spooky fun, creativity and smiles! 👻✨ Lots of amazing crafts were made, and our young people enjoyed taking part in a fun lucky dip! 🎁🎃

A big well done to our winners! 🍬🎉 Charlotte guessed the exact number of sweets in the jar, and Paisley correctly guessed the names of our ghostly zombies — Brain Rotter Ben and Ghastly Georgie! 🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our event, and well done to our Youth Council for helping make it such a brilliant day! 🧡🍂
