Autistic Led Support Team (it's not what you think)

As part of our focus on expansion and authentic growth (in connection with each other), we are opening up to the community through free events and getting into our local communities more!

The Autistic Led Support Team regards supporting the broadening of Autistic Led's community presence in various ways but perhaps notably, presentations (just as 1 example)

Not everyone wants to put themselves out there in public which is why it is crucial to offer various ways to connect and create (presentation slides can have multiple input-givers but perhaps fewer people actually presenting etc)

So if you want to collaborate with us, give me a message on [email protected] or message the Page and you might see me and others soon!

2ND EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

In collaboration with The Olive Tree - Spalding and Autistic Led (a group I also facilitate), let's try this out!

To end with a bang, we're having a night.

Food served 12 - 3.30pm, booking essential.

7 years this month of doing this 'thing' called Autistic Led.

Thank you to anyone who has ever passed by, stayed, had any sort of involvement with the group....no, it is not just a group to me.

It is a culturally empowering, emerging network of people trying to discover themselves in others, find information about all the facets of life that is not directly related to autistic people such as job advice, relationships etc but have nuance within these different areas of the human experience.

We are not professionals but we are passionate, authentic voices.

It is not just a name, it is a movement.

Not a cult but in the often disconnected places of Lincolnshire, communicating as US is not as prominent as it should be.

But cogs are always in motion.

Crucially, this cannot happen in isolation.

It takes courage from members, curiosity from the wider community (when it comes to engaging in what we try to do) and a communal openness to always be learning.

I am a white, heterosexual autistic male.
I only have my experiences to speak authentically on but advocacy is like a lightbulb.

I may be the main connection in this particular circuit...but everyone else is the electricity.

I have SO FAR to go and SO MUCH MORE to do and I am learning every day but it is important to recognise this milestone.
