Troop Aid UK

Troop Aid UK When injured troops return to the United Kingdom from combat operations and training they arrive back without their personal effects or clothing.
(1)

The objective of TROOP AID is to supply them with the ‘basic essentials’ in a GRAB BAG. Items in the GRAB BAG include T-shirt and shorts, washing and shaving kit, towel, face flannel, tooth paste, tooth brush, shower mules, socks, underwear, pen and paper. Female requirements are also provided. We deal directly with the Defence Medical Welfare Service and other military medical establishments in t

he UK where there is a need. GRAB BAGS are currently being used in the Field Hospitals in Cyprus and Kenya, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the Ministry of Defence Hospital Units in Plymouth, Portsmouth, Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, Medical Centre ITC Catterick Garrison and MDHU Northallerton. It costs £30.00 to make up one GRAB BAG.

Message from RAFBF
We’re proud to join forces with the Birmingham International Tattoo for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend celebrating the very best of British military tradition and pageantry." - Ben Alonso, Director of Fundraising🥁✈️

We are honoured to be named a charity partner for Britain’s biggest indoor Tattoo, taking place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February 2026 at the bp pulse LIVE indoor arena.

The 2026 Tattoo will have a special RAF theme, featuring over 1,000 performers, including the Band of the Royal Air Force College and the National Band of the Royal Air Force Cadets!

Here's how your ticket supports the RAF Family:
• £1 from every ticket purchased comes directly to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
• We will also be fundraising through a donation collection at the end of the event and a contribution from every souvenir programme sold.

The money raised is vital for continuing our support for the RAF Family with financial grants, mental health services, housing, and mobility needs.

Don't miss out on this spectacular weekend of music, ceremony, and pageantry!
