Skipton Multisport Festival

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May*.

The Brownlee Foundation have kindly offered to help us hold a sporting festival in Aireville Park over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend.

With support from Skipton Athletics, Skipton Cycling and Craven Energy Triathlon Clubs we’ll have run, cycling and triathlon events for children and adults of all abilities over the weekend.

The team at Skipton BID are helping us with a Festival Village in the park; with food, drink and entertainment we will have a great atmosphere for you to come and cheer friends and family on !

*Run and cycle races will be on Saturday, Triathlons on the Sunday (early notice that a section of Gargrave Road from Harewood Road to the Leisure Centre Entrance will be closed for the day)

Skipton Multisport Festival is based at Skipton Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, at Aireville Park. The triathlon will take place in the swimming pool, heading out of the town for the bike ride for the adults, and around Aireville Park for the run. The runs will be based around the park, and the sportive....

SKIPTON MULTISPORT FESTIVAL - 23/24 MAY 2026

After missing last year we're back for 2026 but even bigger and better...

The event is being run by The Brownlee Foundation (a charity set up by our Olympian triathletes Alastair and Jonny Brownlee from Yorkshire), we're hoping they will be there for the weekend !

Skipton Cycling, Skipton AC and Craven Energy Tri Club will be supporting to put on a weekend festival or run, bike and triathlon events for young, old and families.

Everything will be centred in Aireville Park as much as possible, as with our event in 2024 we will have traffic management on a section of Gargrave Road (between the Leisure Centre and Harewood Road), it will be closed in both directions for Saturday's Junior Races and one-way only (out of Skipton) for Sunday's Adult races.

We're still working out exact timings but Saturday is likely be 10am-6pm and Sunday 8am-6pm, Saturday will be for Junior events and Sunday for Adult events.

As with 2024 we will have an "Event Village" in the centre of the park with food, drink, athlete merchandise, children's entertainment etc. There will be a PA system with compere and music whilst the events are running plus presentations and some entertainment into the early evening, it's unlikely to finish very late ...hopefully by 9pm.

A huge thank you to Beth and Andy Laycock for organising our Swim Bike Run – Aquathlon this morning. Beth and Andy make a great team and are a wonderful part of the Craven Energy family. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, coaches and athletes for making this morning a success.

The Juniors have been grafting today at Skipton Town Hall with a bake sale to help fund travel expenses for the Juniors competing at International events!
