In this Befriending Week, we're delighted to see the vital work of Hesketh Bank & Tarleton Helpers going from strength to strength 🤝🌟 A shining example of the life changing power of local befriending💚🤩

𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

There are now over 55 active befriending matches across Tarleton, Hesketh Bank and North Meols, each one a story of connection, kindness and community. 💬💛

Our volunteer befrienders offer friendly chats, regular visits and genuine companionship to neighbours who might otherwise feel alone.

We’re proud of every single match and grateful to everyone who helps make them happen.

A gift you weren’t expecting to find.

Something handmade for your home.

A cake that definitely wasn’t on the shopping list… 👀🧁

The Made in WN8 Makers Market brings local creativity to the Concourse, with handmade items, art, jewellery and cakes to browse.

Behind every stall is someone who has put time, ideas and care into what they’ve created. Stopping for a look, asking about their work or choosing to buy locally helps support those small businesses right here in our community 💛

The next market is tomorrow, Saturday 26th September, with another date coming up on Saturday, 24th October.

📍 Concourse Shopping Centre

Pop along, meet the makers and see what catches your eye. You might discover your next favourite local business.
