KSAF SERVICE UPDATE
We want to provide our community with an important update regarding KSAF and our current support services.
At present, KSAF is unable to accept any further requests or referrals for family support. Until we are able to secure sustainable and viable funding, our Family Outreach Programme will not be continuing.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly.
The Family Outreach Programme has demonstrated just how much this type of support is needed within our community. In our first five months alone, KSAF received more than 75 referrals, with demand continuing to increase.
We are incredibly proud of the support that has been provided to children, young people and families through the programme.
However, delivering this work safely, effectively and sustainably requires appropriate funding, resources and infrastructure. Unfortunately, without this funding, we are unable to continue providing the level of support that families deserve.
For the time being, all KSAF family and community support services are paused.
Our training courses will continue to operate as normal.
KSAF is not closing.
We are continuing to work behind the scenes on other projects, partnerships and opportunities, and we hope to be able to share more about these in the future.
How can you support KSAF?
Right now, we are asking our community to stand with us. There are a number of ways individuals, organisations and businesses can help:
• Donate to KSAF to help us work towards restarting our family support services.
• Share this announcement and our future funding appeals to help our work reach more people.
• Introduce us to potential funders, charitable trusts, foundations, businesses or organisations that may be able to support our work.
• Sponsor our work or a specific area of delivery, including the Family Outreach Programme, safeguarding systems, volunteer costs, training or operational expenses.
• Fundraise for KSAF through workplaces, schools, community groups or local events.
• Choose KSAF as a community or charitable partner for workplace fundraising or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Offer professional support or services, including fundraising expertise, grant writing, marketing, printing, technology or other resources that could reduce our operating costs.
• Connect us with organisations interested in partnership working around safeguarding, attendance, early intervention and family support.
• Book or promote our training courses. Income generated through our training helps support the wider sustainability of KSAF.
• Advocate for our work by speaking to local schools, professionals, businesses, community organisations and decision makers about the need for accessible early support for families.
Even simply following KSAF, sharing our work and continuing to support what we are trying to achieve makes a difference.
To every family, professional, school, organisation, volunteer, partner and supporter who has trusted and supported KSAF so far — thank you.
We started this work because we believe children and families should be able to access support before difficulties reach crisis point.
That commitment has not changed.
We hope this is a pause, not an ending.
Please note that while our support services are paused, we are unable to accept new family referrals or support requests. We will make a public announcement when this changes.
