We need more crew at Silverdale during the day. If you live or work in the local area and this is something you would like to know more about come and speak to us at the fire station. We are there every Wednesday between 19.00 & 21.00.👍

At 07.59 yesterday morning Silverdale crew along with a crew from Milnthorpe Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a multi vehicle RTC on the A6 near the Cumbria / Lancashire border. On arrival one casualty was still in their vehicle, and eventually under the supervision of NWAS crews, self extricated from the vehicle after fire crews had removed the passenger door. 🔥📟🏃‍♂️🚒

Last night was our weekly drill training session where our crews practised an RTC scenario of a vehicle on its side to enable a roof flap extrication of a casualty.🔥📟🏃‍♂️🚒

Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service will be recruiting for On Call Firefighters in June, so if you live or work within 8 minutes response time of Silverdale Fire Station please come and speak to us, and we can tell you more about this fantastic role. We are still short of crew who can cover periods between the hours of 06.00 - 18.00 7 days a week.🔥📟🏃‍♂️🚒

Last night we hosted 11 members of the local Arnside & South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team for a visit to Silverdale Fire Station.👍

The night was a great opportunity to learn more about the equipment each service carries on their appliance, with a view to working more closely together in the future on training & incidents.🚒
