🎄 Introducing the Wharncliffe Side Christmas Guide! 🎄

For the very first time, the Wharncliffe Side Development Association has put together a guide to what’s happening in our village this festive season: events, activities and things to get involved in, all in one place.

📖 Read it online here: https://heyzine.com/flip-book/8756f6ec0b.html

📍 Prefer to hold a copy in your hands? Printed copies are available around the village, so keep an eye out for them when you’re out and about. Pick one up, pop it on the fridge, and share it with friends and neighbours.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, and to all the groups and organisers who keep Wharncliffe Side such a lively place to live. 💚

Please share this post so everyone in the village (and beyond) knows what’s on!

Just to let the Youth Club, family, carers and friends know that we are having an open service this Sunday 10.30am. Very informal may even be a game or two to keep
the community contact and share updates on how your group is using and developing by using the Chapel. A drink and cake will always be available! Would be delighted if you could join us. Thank you.

 We’re Looking for New Volunteers!
Wharncliffe Dragons Youth Group Mondays • 5:45 to 7:30pm Weekly, fortnightly or monthly
We’re on the lookout for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us run our Monday night youth
sessions. If you can spare a little time, you’ll be helping create a safe, fun and welcoming space for
local young people.
You must be 18 or over. A DBS check is required and we submit and pay for this.
Regular volunteers can access fully funded training, including First Aid, Safeguarding Level 3, Food
Hygiene Level 2 and Youth Leader development through the council’s youth team.
You’ll be supporting with:
 Supervising young people
 Helping plan activities
 Light cleaning tasks
 Setting up and packing away
 Cooking activities if you’d like to
This is perfect for anyone wanting experience in youth work, childcare, education or social care, as
well as anyone who simply wants to give something back. Retired volunteers are very welcome too.
We’ve got a brilliant group of young teens who love crafts, games, cooking and outdoor fun. It’s a
lively, positive place to volunteer.
