What is a pelvic tuck and why do you have a hard time visualising it? Let me show you with me as the baby! I’m demoing it today so you can actually see the difference..
The pelvic tuck is the final position of your little one after putting them into the sling. It drops their bum deeper into the pouch and keeps their knees up, so they sit in a lovely M-shape with their knees higher than their bum.
Why bother? Because it puts hips, legs and spine in a better position, their head tilts towards you, their bum is supporting their weight for better comfort, and it helps the carrier feel more secure for you too. It's an absolute necessity for a rock solid seat in a ring sling.
Try it next time you’re in a ring sling, stretchy, or buckle – you’ll feel the difference instantly.
