Great to see Chichester Cinema keeping the big-screen magic alive with another rare 35mm screening of Barbarella Fri night.

As we work towards bringing cinema and live performance back to the Selsey Pavilion, it’s lovely to see local audiences still getting the chance to experience films properly, on film, in a beautiful shared setting.

Well worth supporting if you can make it. 🎬✨

Work on the Small Hall at the Selsey Pavilion is moving at pace. We're now nearing the end of the plastering, the new fire doors are being hung, and the plumbers are hard at work installing our silent-flush WC and water heater, both of which will be discreetly hidden behind an access panel.

A huge thank you to Anderson Parker Plastering, Tristan Crump Carpentry, Rob Marlow, and Will O'Brien Plumbing for their fantastic work and continued support. Thank you to Wild and Woody Photography for the fantastic photography.

We’re pleased to share that our new solar array has now been installed on the small hall roof.

This important addition will help us take another positive step towards making the Pavilion more sustainable for the future, reducing our environmental impact and helping with future running costs as restoration work continues.

The installation was made possible thanks to a generous grant from Ferry Farm Community Solar, whose support is making a real difference to the project.

A huge thank you also to the talented team at Wagner Renewables Ltd for their brilliant work on the installation.

Another important piece of the puzzle as we work to bring this much-loved building back into community use.

Quick progress update – work on the small hall is coming along nicely. The space is nearly ready for plaster, the fire alarm wiring is in, and the floors are finally finished. That means we now have full step-free access across the entire ground floor! 👷‍♀️

A big thanks to Tristan Crump and Rob Marlow for their stellar work this week.

🎧 Have a listen to our very own Christian Skelton chatting all things Pavilion restoration with Kyle and Cliff from the Broadway Prestwick in Scotland.

The Broadway is on a remarkably similar journey to ours, so it was a great chance to compare notes on the realities of restoring heritage buildings, balancing fundraising, and yes… geeking out over vintage cinema equipment.

If you’re interested in what goes on behind the scenes of projects like this, it’s well worth a listen 👇

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
After months of careful planning, we’re excited to reveal our next phase for the Selsey Pavilion…

💦 The Selsey Splash Park 💦

That’s right – a brand new activity swimming pool complete with:
🌈 Multi-storey flume (colour-coded for bravery levels)
🏄‍♂️ Rapid river (powered naturally by costal winds)
🍦 Poolside refreshments (obviously)

This is our architects’ latest vision for the site… and we think it really captures the spirit of a traditional seaside town 😄

We’ll be launching a crowdfunding campaign very soon, so start digging out your swimwear…

…or maybe just check the date 😉
