💗 WOW! What a wonderful, worthy day of local support for Stars Appeal - Salisbury District Hospital's Charity, raising money for our local breast cancer units. 💗
This was BreastFest — Salisbury’s 3rd annual music event, with 6 of our finest local music acts on the fantastic BSM Stage Tec stage, backed by the best sound technicians available. Add delicious food, stalls, a bouncy castle, face painting, a fully stocked bar from Laverstock & Ford Sports Club, a fabulous raffle packed with generous donations from local supporters… and the gods even supplied the perfect weather! ☀️
We even had a pink tractor 🚜💗 and a (planned!) visit from the fire service 🚒!
With ingredients like these, what could possibly go wrong?
And let me tell you… nothing did! 🙌
A huge amount of work goes into putting on an event like this. The stage and sound crew were on site from 6am, setting everything up, and worked tirelessly throughout the day managing changeovers and sound. Pack-down didn’t even start until 10:45pm, after the final act — all while wearing black in the summer heat! 🥵
The hard work paid off, guys. The day ran on time, the sound was excellent and the lights were spectacular. 👏
I could go on about all of that, but ultimately, it’s the attendees who make an event.
And what a crowd we had. ❤️
It was so heartwarming to see so many people enjoying the day — from families who have been directly affected by breast cancer, to babies attending their very first festival, and everyone in between.
Everyone was there having a brilliant time, supporting local music, enjoying themselves and, most importantly, raising money for our local community.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more generous crowd. Our BreastFest audience absolutely blew us away.
We are so grateful, so humbled and so proud… and already looking forward to doing it all again in 2027! 🎶💗

We counted up the ticket sales, raffle sales and donations this morning, and we are absolutely delighted to announce that:

A massive thank you to every single person who made this possible — our musicians, stage and sound crew, volunteers, Laverstock & Ford Club House, food and stall holders, raffle prize donors, supporters, attendees and everyone who bought a ticket, entered the raffle or simply donated.
You all played a part.
