Community Sports Series

Around 50 veterans will descend on Cardiff University at the weekend (28-29 June) when the Community Sports Series rolls into town. The Community Sports Series is a nationwide event, with regional activities, which allows veterans to come together with other members of the Armed Forces community and participate in a variety of inclusive sports.

Led by Siorna, a professional photographer with years of teaching experience, this course is designed to help you feel more in control of your camera. You'll learn the ins and outs of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, composition, and lens choices — and apply them with weekly challenges, complete with personal feedback.

The Coaching Academy is a free sports coaching development programme available to eligible serving personnel and veterans.

You will gain a coaching qualification in a sport and benefit from an additional coach education programme. The course consists of face-to-face learning, online learning and coaching experience.

There will be 40 spaces this year, with Face-to-Face or at-home options available. Both will have full access to the UK Coaching Premium Membership, *Support from Master's Students at Liverpool John Moores University, and your NGB (National Governing Body) Sports Qualification.

Expression of interest will close on 15th June. The programme will begin in July.

If you have previously enrolled on the programme and are still awaiting your course, there is no requirement to reapply.
