When you visit a food bank, the first question you might be asked is: ‘How do you take your tea?’ ☕

Over a cuppa, food bank staff and volunteers take the time to listen - giving people the chance to feel heard and talk about what they’ve been facing.

These conversations are so important. They can open the door to the right advice and support - helping people find longer‑term help with money, housing, and health.

It takes more than food to end hunger. And support like this makes all the difference when someone is going through a tough time. 💚

Let's be clear: cutting social security support for disabled people would only make hardship and heath worse, and make it harder for people to get jobs.

75% of people already turning to food banks are disabled, and we hear directly from people how hard they're finding covering the cost of essentials as well as the cost of being disabled.

Welfare reform needs to make sure disabled people can get compassionate support that actually provides security. 💚

It's no easy task, but we know that with our supporters and partners, we WILL get there.

And a BIG shoutout to Baxters UK who have been doing some amazing things to support us. From walking 18 miles at the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, to clocking up an incredible 1,260 miles in their May challenge, to baking up a storm in Edinburgh…their team has gone above and beyond.
