Reminder about our daily collections - all welcome.
Wednesday's collection is in the shed just behind St John in the Field church hall & the fridge is full to bursting. Lots of fruit, strawberries, blueberries, melons, bananas, apples and oranges & veg, courgettes potatoes some broccoli and cauliflower, some other bits and pieces. Plenty packs of sliced ham, chicken and a few beef packets. Also TONS of bread & frozen pasties.
Thanks to all the volunteers who collected this from the 3 local Co-ops, Asda, Sainsbury's, The Cornish bakery & Gleaning Cornwall. It takes them so much time and energy to do this, using their own vehicles and fuel.
Anybody is welcome to collect free food, if not for yourself, then for someone else who might need it.
We don’t have a traditional queuing system. Just rock up and everyone who arrives on time picks a spoon with a number to determine their space in the queue. This means there is no need to queue or come early. Those who arrive after the set time queue as normal. We are usually finished in 15 to 20 minutes.
Bring a normal shopping bag to fill up.
