This week our Speaker was one of our own members ; Mandy talked us through her own diagnosis at the age of 36 with three young children, and her subsequent years of raising vital funds for the Breast Centre Wales. We even got to experience a Bollywood dancing taster in line with their latest fundraising event . Diolch Mandy!

The WI is saddened to hear of the passing of Gloria Steinem, a pioneering feminist, journalist and campaigner whose work helped advance the rights and voices of women around the world.

Today, we remember her life, her legacy and her extraordinary contribution to the women’s movement with one of our favourite quotes:

“Women may be the one group that grows more radical with age.”
