Been removing and replacing some of the fence posts in the orchard today and came across this beauty!
The largest resident Hawk-moth in the UK - the Privet Hawk-moth.
A wing span of 9-12cm and a great guy! Even agreed to quick photo shoot before flying off.

A spot of sprucing up in the Garden of Friendship today. More to do but a good start has been made. Between the showers Janet has been out collecting images of things with wings!

The Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park have very kindly paid for two new sheltered benches around the play area.
Hopefully these will help protect you from the sun and the rain whilst you're visiting the park! 🌞🌧️
