Slightly quieter day today at due to some of our lovely volunteers having a well deserved holiday but we managed five good fixes including a massive parasol, some torn shorts, a usb-powered fan and two parts of a 1980s hi-fi stack which was still in it's original box! A beautiful embroidery is coming back next month after advice to the owner/maker on what backing fabric to buy. Two more visitors left with a better understanding of why their items were apparently misbehaving and the confidence to start using them again.

Thanks to everyone who made it past the roadworks and the downpours for our session at on Saturday. Our brilliant volunteers fixed a variety of electronic and electrical items including a cassette player, food processor, hedge trimmer, cd player and automatic cat feeder plus a torn gazebo awning was neatly patched. A handful of intransigent electrical items were thoroughly checked over (the Dyson hoover VERY thoroughly!) but deemed not repairable for various reasons, good to know for sure though

Great session on Saturday at Woodhatch Community Centre. Our dedicated volunteers saved five electrical items from landfill including a hoover, a toaster and a radio. A bike was made safe for it's young rider and a pair of jeans patched for workwear. A further four items were assessed as needing spare parts and a follow up visit recommended. Most unusual item of the day was a talking hairbrush! Can't wait to see what gets brought along next month...

Many thanks to everyone who came along to our session at Woodhatch Community Centre on Saturday. Our brilliant volunteers worked on a wide variety of electrical items including two irons, two hoovers, a rice cooker, an induction hob, a PS5 controller, a garden vacuum, a coffee grinder and more. Other items included a bike, a hose pipe and an extension lead. Everyone went away happy, even the couple of people whose items we had checked out thoroughly but weren't able to fix this time. If you have a household item, clothing or soft furnishings that need fixing our next session is on 25th July
