Ryan Rudd, 28, from Selby, has been missing with serious concerns for his welfare, since the early hours of Sunday 15 February. North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal and are actively searching for Ryan, after he failed to return home or to his barracks in Catterick Garrison when expected.

Ryan was last seen at the New Inn in Selby in the early hours of Sunday 15 February after going on a night out with two friends on Valentine’s night.

Since then he has been out of contact with family, friends and colleagues we are very concerned for his safety.

Ryan is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with dark brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black t-shirt, blue hooded top and black trousers.

Anyone who may have seen him in Selby on 14/15 February or has seen him since then, or has any information that might help locate him, should contact North Yorkshire Police as a matter of urgency.

They have kindly donated raffle prizes for our club, as well as towels and bedding, which we will be able to pass on to people and families who are most in need. Your generosity will make a real difference to those in our community who need a helping hand. ❤️

They also very kindly donated raffle prizes to The Legion, Prudhoe, to help raise much-needed funds for Maggie's Cancer Care.

It’s wonderful to see local businesses supporting their community and helping such worthwhile causes.

Remembering PC Tom Clough & PC Matthew Blades 💙

Today our thoughts are with the families, friends and colleagues of PC Tom Clough and PC Matthew Blades, two brave officers who tragically lost their lives while serving and protecting our communities.

Two men who went to work doing a job that asks so much of those who wear the uniform and who sadly never made it home to the people who loved them.

Our hearts go out to their families at this unimaginable time. We also stand with their colleagues and the wider policing family who are mourning the loss of two of their own.

Tom and Matthew, thank you for your service, your courage and your dedication.
You made a difference.
You will not be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, both of you. 💙

BEACON UPDATE FOUND PASSED

It's with incredible sadness that we must update you, Alex "JJ", from Cannock has been found passed. Alex was reported missing on 22 August 2026, sparking a massive public response, with police, search and rescue teams, and volunteers carrying out multiple specialist ground searches.

Cannock Police have confirmed that 33-year-old Alex was found yesterday (Friday 28 August) on Cannock Chase.

Officers attended alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

Thank you to everyone who shared this alert and others, and did everything they could to try and bring about a positive resolution to this missing person appeal. Our sincere condolences go out to Alex's family and friends at this difficult time.
