๐Ÿ‘ถ Tuesday 1st September ๐Ÿ‘ถ

Come along to Patchwork Babies at The Pennypit Family & Learning Centre - SCIO ๐Ÿงธ

This is our *free* session for the teeniest members of our community (0-12 months) and their grown ups ๐Ÿฃ....and it's ***weaning week***!

We are delighted to welcome our friends from the Pennypit Community Development Trust and MotherBaby Together from 9.30am, collaboratively offering support and guidance to families who are about to embark on adventures with solid foods! There's no need to sign up in advance - and even if you have attended before, you are more than welcome to come along again ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ‘

Our regular session will then run 10am-12pm with our Host Muriel who will have everything set up in the Puffin Room, ready to welcome you with a selection of baby toys, access to connections including breastfeeding support from Kat and her peer supporters ๐Ÿคฑ and the chance to meet and socialise with other families from the area ๐Ÿงก

We also have weighing scales available every week for those who wish to use them โš–๏ธ Please note that these scales are not NHS calibrated, so if you have any questions or concerns around your baby's growth and development, please do refer to your GP, or the health visiting service ๐Ÿ™

Entry to all Pennypit amenities including Babies is via the main door only and you may need to press the buzzer; any problems, please ask the reception staff to open the internal corridor door. Buggies should be left in the room adjoining the Puffin Room as before ๐Ÿ˜

Don't forget to pop in to see the ladies at M & M Munchies for breakfast, lunch or a treat before or after the session! ๐Ÿฉท

Thank you, and have a lovely week!

๐Ÿ’œ Monday 31st August & Wednesday 2nd September ๐Ÿ’œ

Come and join us for Patchwork Play at Prestonpans Community Centre this week!

This is our stay and play session for children aged 0-5 and their big people!๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿš“

Zori and Carol are on hand to offer you a warm welcome on the door, and explain how it all works, if it is your first time ๐Ÿ˜„

The session runs 10am-12pm, ยฃ3 per household (cash only please)
๐Ÿ’ธ

A gentle reminder to all that Patchwork is run by volunteers - we are not Play Leaders. As such, children remain the responsibility of their own parents/carers at all times. Childminders and childcare providers are welcome alongside families; sessions can be busy, so we kindly ask all adults, especially those responsible for multiple or mixed-age children, to remain mindful of the location, and abilities, of all children in their care and closely monitor their use of equipment๐Ÿ™

We strive to set up a busy and engaging space perfect for parents and carers to join in with their wee one(s) as they explore active and interactive play and build relationships with their peers ๐Ÿ‘

The safety and comfort of all our attendees is a priority. All attending adults are expected to read our Rules of Play and must sign in to show acceptance of these ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ

The cafรฉ will be open for drinks, snacks, breakfast and lunch from 9.30am (but please note, nobody but Committee members or Centre staff should enter the play space until set up is complete at 10am).

Thank you for your continued understanding and support! ๐Ÿ’•

Have a great Sunday and a lovely week ahead!

Brilliant news that Prestonpans Community Centre have managed to get things sorted after today's break in. The Centre have recently shared that they will be reopening as normal from 9am on Tuesday 25th August ๐Ÿ’•

This also means we at Patchwork EH32 look forward to welcoming as many of you all as possible to our regular Play session on Wednesday 26th August ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿš“

I know we'd all love to make it a busy one and help the gals in the cafรฉ make up for losing sales on Monday! ๐ŸŒŸ

Thanks, everyone, as always, for your support!

Evening everyone! Just a little update from our wonderful Kat at MotherBaby Together ๐Ÿ‘ถ

Our Patchwork Babies session will be running as normal every Tuesday at The Pennypit Family & Learning Centre - SCIO - this is our session for babies aged 0-12 months and their carers. All families and feeding journeys are very welcome, and the usual toys, scales, chats and warm welcome from our Babies Host Muriel will be on offer ๐Ÿ’—

As you will know, Kat is usually with us every Tuesday, but for anyone seeking specific support with breastfeeding, please be aware that for the next couple of months Kat will be alternating the provision of *in-person* breastfeeding support between Prestonpans and Musselburgh๐Ÿคฑ๐Ÿพ

In-person breastfeeding support will be available at First Step Community Project Musselburgh on Tuesday 25th August, with in-person breastfeeding support (+ support with starting solids/weaning with Pennypit Community Development Trust) at The Pennypit Family & Learning Centre - SCIO on Tuesday 1st September, and continuing to alternate until further notice ๐Ÿ™‚

Further in-person groups are available throughout the week/month, including in Tranent, Ormiston and Wallyford ๐Ÿ’•

Support is available any time from Kat and her team of trained breastfeeding peer supports via the peer support WhatsApp network (text 07838328518 or email [email protected] to be added) ๐ŸŒŸ

Do check, share and save the graphics below, and feel free to reach out with any queries ๐Ÿ™

Patchwork EH32 at the Community Centre is sadly cancelled today due to the Centre being broken into ๐Ÿ™

We are staying in touch with the wonderful staff there and will update our community when the Centre is safe to open again.

Big love to the amazing team at the Centre who do so, so much for all of us. We appreciate you immensely and are so sorry you have to deal with this ๐Ÿ’œ
