Radio tracker attached to Yellow Legged Hornet ( Asian Hornet ) to track it back to its nest so it can be destroyed.

If you see one of these hornets report it immediately via the Asian Hornet Watch App. Take a photo before it flies away !! They are an invasive species that destroy all our pollinators - butterflies, bees, hoverflies etc.

It’s !

Every sighting matters. Your reports are important.

Using radio-tracking technology, a single sighting can lead to the discovery and removal of a Yellow-legged Hornet nest, helping to protect honeybees and native insects.

See how to spot and report them: https://www.nationalbeeunit.com/diseases-and-pests/asian-hornet

11/09/2026

Please look out for yellow legged hornets feeding on ivy for the next few weeks or set up a feeding/monitoring station in your garden and report any sightings immediately via the Asian hornet watch app which you can download for free from playstore.

If the photo is confirmed as a yellow legged hornet the Nation Bee Unit will deploy bee inspectors to track & trace the hornets back to their nest and destroy it.
