Nobody really prepares you for the emotional side of retirement.

The routine changes.
The structure disappears.
The phone becomes quieter.
Sometimes even your sense of identity shifts.

After spending years working, providing, supporting others and staying busy… it can suddenly feel like something is missing.

And that feeling is more common than people realise.

The Wing Project is here for people navigating change, uncertainty, loneliness and loss of purpose — offering a space to talk without judgement.

Sometimes talking is the first step towards finding yourself again. 🤍

Grief does not follow a timetable.

Some days you cope.
Some days you don’t.
Some days you laugh and then feel guilty for laughing.

Loss changes people.

Whether you are grieving a loved one, a relationship, a version of life you once had, or simply the person you used to be… you deserve support too.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

The Wing Project offers confidential counselling sessions online and face-to-face in a warm and understanding environment. 🤍

Some people think depression is always crying.

Sometimes it looks like:

- cancelling plans
- feeling exhausted all the time
- losing interest in things you used to enjoy
- feeling disconnected from people
- sitting in silence scrolling for hours
- functioning on the outside while struggling internally

You do not have to wait until things completely fall apart before reaching out for support.

At The Wing Project, we offer a safe, relaxed and non-judgemental space to talk openly at your own pace. 🤍

Free 20-minute consultation available.

Some days, life can feel heavy.
You might look “fine” on the outside while quietly battling stress, anxiety, overthinking, low mood, burnout, grief, relationship struggles… or simply feeling stuck.

That’s where The Wing Project comes in. 🪽

The Wing Project was created to offer a warm, down-to-earth space where people can talk openly without judgement. No pressure to have the “right words.” No pressure to have everything figured out. Just a space where you can be heard, supported, and understood at your own pace.

Whether you’re going through a difficult period, trying to process the past, struggling with confidence, or you simply need somebody to listen, you do not have to carry it all alone.

I know reaching out can feel scary.
Sometimes the hardest part is sending that very first message. But therapy is not about being “broken”, it’s about giving yourself the time and support you deserve. 🌱

I currently offer: • Free 20-minute get-to-know sessions
• Online, phone & face-to-face support
• Flexible and approachable sessions
• A calm, person-centred approach
• Affordable counselling support at £35 per session

If you’ve been thinking about therapy for a while, maybe this is your sign to take that first small step. 🤝

Even if you’re unsure, you are always welcome to reach out for a chat.

Unfortunately, tonight’s Men’s Monthly Meet Up has had to be cancelled due to issues with the studio.

I sincerely apologise to anybody who was planning on attending tonight, especially those who may have been relying on the space, support, or conversation. I understand that these evenings can mean a lot to people, and I never make decisions like this lightly.

The next Men’s Monthly Meet Up will now take place on Tuesday 9th June from 7pm–8pm.

In the meantime, if anybody was counting on tonight or feels they need someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to email [email protected]. I am more than happy to offer a private and confidential online space free of charge for anybody who may need support this evening.

Things people don’t talk about with grief:

feeling guilty for laughing again
feeling angry at the person you lost
feeling disconnected from others
feeling like nobody really understands

All of it is more common than you think.
