We’re on a mission to make our 2027 Carnival Procession the BIGGEST, LOUDEST and LIVELIEST yet! 🎊

And we need YOUR help to make it happen!

We’re looking for local groups, clubs, organisations and individuals to join our procession!

🥁 Marching bands & musical instruments

💃 Dance groups & performers

🚗 Classic, quirky & decorated vehicles

🏍️ Motorbikes, bicycles & anything on wheels!

🎭 Community groups, clubs & organisations

🌈 Got something completely different? WE WANT TO HEAR IT!

🎉 AND DON’T WORRY – OUR TRADITIONAL CARNIVAL PARADE ISN’T GOING ANYWHERE! 🎉

All our usual fancy dress and procession classes will still be taking to the streets as normal! We’re simply looking to add even MORE music, entertainment, colour and excitement alongside them to make the whole procession bigger and better than ever! 🥳

If it makes noise, moves, dances or brings a smile to people’s faces – we want it in our procession! 🤩

Let’s fill the streets of Presteigne with music, colour, laughter and carnival madness! 🎉

🎪🎉 PRESTEIGNE CARNIVAL 2027 – WE WANT YOUR IDEAS! 🎉🎪

Planning for Presteigne Carnival 2027 is already in full swing, and we’re looking to bring some fresh, exciting ideas to next year’s event! 🤩

We want to hear from YOU! 🫵

We’re on the lookout for:

🎭 Acts & Entertainers – Something different? Whether it’s entertainment for the little ones, adults or the whole family, we’d love to hear your suggestions!

🥁 Procession Bands & Acts – We’re looking for bands, performers and entertainers to bring some extra atmosphere to our carnival procession! Whether that’s leading the way, performing along the route or entertaining within the crowds, we’d love something fun, lively and a little different!

🎪 Community Stalls – Local groups, charities, clubs and organisations who would love to get involved!

🍔 Food & Drink Vendors – From street food to something a little different, what would you love to see on offer? Or who to bring back - if you loved any vendors from previous years.

🍭 Sweet Treats – Cakes, desserts, waffles, doughnuts, slushies, ice cream… or something we’ve not thought of yet!

🎪 PRESTEIGNE CARNIVAL 2027 – WE NEED YOU! 🎪

To organise an event on the scale of last year’s Carnival, we simply need more hands on deck.

At our AGM, we sadly lost 6 committee members and gained just 1 extra pair of hands – a very big welcome to our newest member! ❤️

After the success of last year, we would absolutely love to continue planning the big, brilliant Carnival that Presteigne knows and loves. But to make that happen, we need more people to join the committee and help us.

You don’t need any previous experience, and you don’t have to take on a huge role. Whether you can help with organising, ideas, contacting people, fundraising, or entertainment – every extra pair of hands makes a difference.

📣 Our first planning meeting is TOMORROW at 7pm at Presteigne Bowling Club.

We do need to be open about the reality: without new committee members coming forward, there is a real possibility that Presteigne Carnival 2027 will need to be scaled back.

Last year showed just how fantastic our Carnival can be. ❤️
Now we need the people behind the scenes to help us do it all again!

We're excited to be teaming up with Presteigne Carnival 2027 for a special nature craft session!

We'll be getting creative with things from nature and turning them into something completely unique.

🎪✨ BACK FOR ROUND TWO… ✨🎪

Apparently one year of organising the madness wasn’t enough for us… 😂

So for Presteigne Carnival 2027, Vicky & Yaz are BACK as Co-Chairs for a second year running! 🙌🎉

We survived 2026, we’re still friends (just about 🤣), and for some reason we’ve willingly signed ourselves up to do it all over again!

Along with Ryan stepping up into Vice position, Heidi as Treasurer and the rest of our merry committee members!!

Here’s to round two… bigger, better and with even more “well, it seemed like a good idea at the time” moments! 😂🎪🥳

We’ve got lots to do, plenty of ideas to throw around and we can’t wait to start bringing it all together for another brilliant day in Presteigne. ❤️

Here we go again… Carnival 2027 is officially underway! 🥳🎪❤️

🎉 We’re delighted to announce some more very special committee news following our AGM! 🎉

We are absolutely thrilled that our wonderful Treasurer, Heidi, has agreed to stay with us for another year! 🧡

Heidi has gone above and beyond this year, and not just in her role as Treasurer. She has taken on so many extra jobs, helped wherever she was needed and given so much of her time, energy and support to the committee. We honestly couldn’t thank you enough for everything you do, your commitment doesn’t go unnoticed.

We love you, Heidi! 🧡 Thank you for everything, and we’re so happy to have you with us for another year! 🥰

And it’s not just Heidi who deserves a huge thank you…

We’re also delighted to announce that Ryan will remain as our Secretary and will also be taking on the role of Vice Chair! 🎉

Ryan has also gone far beyond his role as Secretary, getting stuck in, helping with so many different aspects of the committee and always being willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Your time, effort and commitment have been hugely appreciated, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you continuing with us.

So, a massive thank you to you both, not just for the roles you officially hold, but for all the extra work, time, ideas, laughs and support you bring to the committee. ❤️

We’re very lucky to have you both! Here’s to another year together and everything still to come! 🥂🎉

Last night at our AGM, we received the resignation of our wonderful Vice Chair, Beth, who has been a valued member of the committee for an incredible 12 years. ❤️

Twelve years is such a huge achievement and a real testament to the time, dedication and commitment Beth has given to the committee and our community over the years.

Beth has played such an important part in everything we have achieved, and her knowledge, support, hard work and sense of humour will be truly missed.

While we’re sad to see you step down, Beth, we completely understand and want to say a huge thank you for everything you have given over the last 12 years. You have been such an important part of our committee family, and we hope you know just how much you have been appreciated.

hopefully we won’t be able to keep you away completely! 😉❤️
