We are looking for lead investigators as well other members to support our team and keep the customers safe at our events.
We are looking at booking a venue and offering cut price tickets for customers to join us in an investigation whilst we assess potential new members.

Thank you all for coming, I didn’t have time to take any photos during the investigation due to being short staffed.
Thank you all for your patience last night.
It was unfortunate that we lost three of our team at the last minute through sickness and so we could not give you the time that you deserved and had paid for.

Few places in Sussex carry an atmosphere quite like Arundel Jailhouse. Hidden beneath the historic streets of Arundel, these cells date back hundreds of years and were once used to hold prisoners awaiting trial, punishment or transport.

The underground cells were built from stone and designed to securely confine inmates during a time when prison conditions were far harsher than they are today. Men, women, and sometimes even children could find themselves imprisoned here for crimes ranging from theft and debt to more serious offences.

Life inside these cells would have been cold, dark, and uncomfortable, with little ventilation or natural light. In the 18th and 19th centuries, overcrowding and poor sanitation were common issues in prisons across Britain, and small holding jails like this were no exception.

Today, the jailhouse remains an important reminder of how law and punishment were once carried out in historic England, preserving a small but powerful piece of history beneath the streets of Arundel.

We’ll be investigating this historic location ourselves on Saturday!
