The ladies from our Knit and Natter group were very excited to visit ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ an Animal Sanctuary based in Ponthir this afternoon where they met some of the rescue cats they have been knitting blankets for.
Angharad, the Sanctuary Manager expressed her gratitude saying how each cat is given one of the blankets to sleep on whilst at the sanctuary and then takes it with them to their forever home when they are adopted. The blanket which is familiar to the cat helps them settle into there new home making the transition less stressful.
The Sanctuary doesn’t just take in cats, they rescue a variety of animals including dogs, rabbit and hamsters and pigs to name just a few. To find out more about the charity or make donation please visit their website at:
