We got fully into the Halloween spirit this evening at Hollybush and Coedeva Youth Club! 🎃👻
We took on a very scary escape room, made some wacky pumpkin-inspired wraps, played petrifying party games, and even completed our mortifying monthly evaluations! 😱😂

A fantastic evening packed with fun, laughter, teamwork and a little bit of fright — the perfect preparation for Halloween night! 🎃🕷️👻
A huge well done to everyone who took part and made the evening such a great success! 🧡

What a fantastic final day of our Youth Service Cookery Project as we spent the day in an official catering teaching kitchen!

The young people got hands-on in the kitchen making smash burgers and wedges, cottage pie and cheesecake.

It’s been a brilliant journey of learning new skills, building confidence and having fun along the way. Well done to everyone who took part

The young people said
"I really enjoyed trying new food and learning new skills" and another "making the cheesecake was the absolute best, its my favourit".

A brilliant week, thank you all!

Today we finished our three-day photography project by taking different photos of the canal in the morning. We saw lots of wildlife, including ducks, dogs and insects, and enjoyed exploring the area around us.
In the afternoon, we printed a selection of our photos and created individual scrapbooks with our favourite pictures.

Comments by young people include:

"It was a really fun experience, and I learnt a lot about my local community while taking photos. We discovered some great places that I hadn’t noticed before"

"One of the best things about the project was that it kept me off my phone and helped me become more interested in nature and the world around me"

Thanks for a brilliant week!

We took our photography out into nature today and explored the beautiful surroundings of Pontypool Park. 📸🌿
We managed to capture some wonderful wildlife along the way, including squirrels, ducks, and of course, the famous 400-year-old tree. 🐿️🦆🌳
A fantastic day spent exploring, photographing, and enjoying nature at its very best. 💚

We have been cooking up a storm on the second day of our cookery project today.

Using ingredients we collected as a team yesterday, we spent the session making some delicious spaghetti bolognese from scratch. 🧅🍄‍🟫🍅🔪

We've all learnt a lot whilst having lots of fun, looking forward to cottage pie and cheesecake tomorrow!
