Last week was Volunteers' Week and as the Volunteer Co-ordinator I wanted to acknowledge the strong Volunteer team we have working in our Youth and Family Hubs across the district. We can't thank them enough for their daily support.

The Volunteers undertake a wide range of tasks and they are given lots of opportunities to get involved and undertake training where possible. Below is one of our Volunteers who has successfully completed their First Aid at Work training.

Our Volunteers are awarded Citizen Coins (https://www.citizencoin.uk/) every time they work and since the scheme started they have worked over 1,300 hours!!

Today I met face to face with some of our Volunteers for a catch up which is always lovely to do. They were updated on what's happening in the hubs, service and wider Council and it was their opportunity to also ask our Head of Service and senior staff questions about their work.
