We will be at this years Gala!
Come along and show your support for the village.

We’re proud to support local community groups, clubs, organisations and charities, and the Ackworth Gala is a perfect way to do just that, with free stalls available.
Having a stall is a great way to promote what you do, attract new interest, and even raise funds for your group!

We've now verified all the votes for Wards 1 to 11. This makes sure the total number of ballot papers matches:

- The number given to voters at polling stations
- The number of postal votes received.

Here's the verified number of ballots:

- Ackworth North Elmsall and Upton (No 1) - 4,965 ballots 37% turnout
- Airedale and Ferry Fryston (No 2) - 3,475 ballots 29% turnout
- Altofts & Whitwood (No 3) - 4,993 ballots 35% turnout
- Castleford Central and Glasshoughton (No 4) - 4,184 ballots 31% turnout
- Crofton, Ryhill and Walton (No 5) - 5,211 ballots 42%
- Featherstone (No 6) - 4,158 ballots 31% turnout
- Hemsworth (No 7) - 3,524 ballots 29% turnout
- Horbury and South Ossett (No 8 ) - 5,169 ballots 44% turnout
- Knottingley and Ferrybridge (No 9) - 3,488 ballots 32% turnout
- Normanton (No 10) - 4,422 ballots 34% turnout
- Ossett (No 11) - 5,185 ballots 41% turnout
