Pontefract Community Kitchen is a charity run solely by volunteers, aimed at helping those in need in the local community. We offer a warm, safe environment, hot meals, food parcels, and relevant guidance and advise to individuals facing various challenges and in need of some extra support. As we are a charitable organisation, we rely on the generosity of volunteers, donations, and grants. We are

looking to increase our support network and area coverage in order to extend our offering and continue to provide life changing support and guidance. If you or somebody you know, could benefit from the services we provide, please get in touch, we are here to help all members of the community. Equally, if you or your organisation can provide us with any help and support, please do contact us.

The night shelter at Wakefield Baptist Church - UK will be open this evening from 8pm

As 2024 draws to a close, we are looking back on the huge year we have had:

☕️Made more than 12,500 cuppas
🍽️Made more than 5,200 hot meals
🛍️Given out over 3,650 food parcels
📈Grew our connections in the community
🎁Over 1000 Christmas presents given to 187 children

Ultimately our wish would be that our services are not needed. Unfortunately we know that’s not the case so we will continue to be open 3 days a week to serve our community.

A huge thank you to all those who helped us this year. From individual donations to regular donations from organisations, we couldn’t run our charity without you. All donations, big or small, mean the world to us and we appreciate it more than you know.
