The Wheelyboat Trust We are a small but effective national charity dedicated to providing disabled people with hassle-free and independent access to waterborne activities.

We are a small national charity dedicated to providing disabled people of all ages with hassle-free and independent access to waterborne activities in our wheelchair accessible Wheelyboats. Our principal role is to help and encourage venues that are open to the public acquire Wheelyboats for the benefit of their disabled visitors and to help groups and organisations acquire Wheelyboats for their own use.

Today we had a fabulous volunteer family fun day with all the boats out. Thank you to the volunteers who gave their time up on a Sunday for a lovely day on the wheelyboat, Bellboats & the Neo sailing boat.

If you would like to volunteer please come next Sunday 21st June between 10.30am & 4pm at Bisham Abbey Sailing & Navigation School.

Enjoyed volunteering with Accessible Boating Thames this morning when we had some students from Manor Green School in Maidenhead. We had three young wheelchair users with carers on the wheelyboat and another four students with carers and crew in the bell boat (foreground).

The river has a wonderful calming effect and a novel change of environment for the students. The staff seem to enjoy being on the water as well. The rain cleared for us at Bisham Abbey where the Sailing School provide us with all their facilities. Partnership in action.
