Take what you need. Share what you can. Our aim is to reduce immediate hardship while treating everyone with dignity, and compassion.

Pennar Share Space is a community-led food and clothing bank created by Pennar Community Hall's Committee to provide free access to non-perishable food items and essential clothing for individuals and families in need. We operate a non-referral basis, meaning anyone can access the support without needing formal referrals, paperwork, or proof of circumstances. By offering everyday essentials in an open and welcoming environment, we help people through difficult times, whether due to financial pressure, unexpected life events or temporary crisis. We rely on community donations, volunteers and local partnerships to keep our shelves stocked and our doors open. At the heart of our work is the belief that access to food and clothing is a basic human need, and support should be simple, accessible and stigma-free.

🎃 Halloween Recipes for Half Term! 👻

We know that half term can bring extra worries for families, especially when it comes to having enough food to feed the children.

One of our lovely supporters has put together some simple, fun, Halloween-themed recipes that you can make using many of the everyday ingredients found in our food parcels. 🧡

We hope these ideas bring a little fun to the kitchen this half term and help make mealtimes that little bit easier for families.

💚 A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO OUR AMAZING PENNAR SHARESPACE VOLUNTEERS! 💚

Today, despite the awful weather, our incredible volunteers have been out and about helping and delivering support to a number of people in our community. 🌧️❤️

We encouraged people to stay home and keep safe in these difficult conditions, but our dedicated team still went out to make sure those who needed help weren’t forgotten.

This is what community spirit is all about — looking out for one another, lending a helping hand and making sure people know they’re not alone. 🫶

To every one of our volunteers, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile mean more than you know.

Please know that you are seen, valued and truly appreciated. 💚

Wow, what can we say?! 🤩 What an AMAZING day our volunteers had at Tesco, Pembroke Dock today! 💚

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the shoppers, we collected 4 trolleys full of donations and almost £250 in cash donations! 🛒💷 We are absolutely blown away by everyone’s kindness and support.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with our volunteers, picked up a wish list, or grabbed an extra item during their shop. Every single donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference to Pennar Share Space and the people we support. 💚

A special thank you to Gill Elliott at Tesco for all her help and support in making today possible. We really appreciate it! 💚

But our BIGGEST thank you goes to our wonderful volunteers — Helena, Jenny, James, Kathryn Price, Kathryn Groves, Sharon, Helen and Simon — who gave up their Saturday to support us. We couldn’t do it without you! 🥰👏

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make today such a success. Our community really is amazing! 💚
