Milford Haven The Mission To Seafarers

22/09/2026

Thank you local churches in West Wales for providing donations which will be given to seafarers visiting our port. These include a family of knitted trauma teddies, biscuits, personal hygiene items, and tubs of chocolates. Have items you'd like to donate? Email our Chaplain: [email protected] Thank you.

Calling all seafarers! 📢

You know better than anyone what life at sea really involves. We're working on a piece for the October issue of FAN about the importance of mental health while at sea, and we want your voices at the heart of it.

Tell us what helps you cope, what makes it harder, or what you wish people understood.

📧 DM us, or email [email protected].

We'd love to hear from you by Monday 14 September.

Locally knitted hats were given to the crew of a cargo ship at Port of Pembroke yesterday when our chaplain visited the vessel. The crew gratefully received these gifts including biscuits, which were all donated from local churches or individuals. Thank you so much.

Behind the global supply chains that keep shelves stocked and economies moving are people most of us will never see. In his latest blog, Peter reflects on the human cost of a life at sea - and why the maritime industry must take it seriously.

Many thanks to Thornton Baptist Chapel for inviting me (Jon) today to share about our chaplaincy and ship visiting work on vessels that visit the Port of Milford Haven. Thank you Thornton for being what I call "bridges of hope" - extending kindness, prayers and support for our work in caring for seafarers welfare locally. If your church or group would like Jon to visit, please email: [email protected] - thank you.

Lovely to have received knitted hats and items for seafarers, donated by churches. Thank you. These will be given to seafarers on oil tankers around our port.
