🌧️⛈️ RYKAS RIDEOUT – CANCELLED ⛈️🌧️

Unfortunately, the weather gods clearly have other plans for us! With rain and thunderstorms forecast, we’ve taken the sensible decision to cancel tomorrow’s planned rideout to Rykas Café.

⚡ Harleys, wet roads and thunderstorms aren’t quite the combination we had in mind for Saturday morning!

Don’t worry though — Rykas isn’t getting away that easily. We’ll be looking for an alternative date and will get this ride back in the calendar.

Fancy kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend with a bit of Throttle Therapy and a decent brunch? 😎

This Saturday, Mohit will be leading us out for a ride to the legendary Ryka’s Café, getting us there nicely in time for brunch/lunch… depending on how seriously you take your breakfast. 🍳🥓☕️

Sunshine, Harleys, fish & chips and the seaside… frankly, if you've got something better planned for Saturday, we'd like to hear it. 😎

This weekend we're pointing the bikes south and heading for Hayling Island, with Nick leading us on a cracking 55-mile ride through the Hampshire countryside before we invade the beach in time for lunch.

📍 Meet: BP Services, A33 Swallowfield – just south of M4 J11
⏰ Meet: 10:00am
🏍️ Stands Up: 10:30am
🛣️ Distance: Approx. 55 miles
⏱️ Ride Time: Just over 90 minutes – depending on how cooperative the traffic decides to be

Once we arrive, the afternoon's agenda gets considerably less complicated…

🐟 Fish & chips
🍦 Ice cream
🌊 Sea air
🏖️ Pebble beach
🏍️ A car park improved considerably by the arrival of a load of Harleys
😂 Good mates and the usual questionable banter

Basically, all the ingredients for a proper Chapter day out.

So get the bike out, give it a quick polish if you must, slap on some sunscreen and come join us for a bit of Throttle Therapy by the Sea.

And remember… seaside calories don't count if you arrive by Harley.*

Looking for an excuse to get the Harley out this Sunday? We've got one. 😎

🏍️ Jacks Hill Rideout – Sunday 23rd August

Jacks Hill Café has finally reopened after what felt like an eternity, so it's only right that we go and investigate whether this legendary biking hotspot has still got the magic... or if they've forgotten how to make a decent bacon roll. 🍔☕️

Join us for a relaxed ride as we head over to one of the UK's best-known biker cafés, catch up with friends, admire plenty of shiny machinery and, no doubt, solve all of motorcycling's problems over a mug of tea.

🍻 Club Night – Thursday 20th August 🍻

It's that time again... Club Night is back!

If you've been suffering from a severe lack of chrome, V-twins and questionable banter since the weekend, we've got just the cure. Join us at Pinewood Bar & Café from 6:30pm for an evening of bikes, burgers, beers (or tea if you're riding home), and catching up with your Chapter family.

There's always plenty going on:
🏍️ Chat about upcoming rides and events
🏍️ Find out what's happening over the next few weeks
🏍️ Swap ride stories (the more exaggerated, the better)
🏍️ Admire everyone else's bike while pretending yours doesn't need another accessory

With the Peak District Tour only a few weeks away, it's also the perfect opportunity to ask any last-minute questions, meet some of your fellow riders, and, if the delivery gods have been kind, collect your Peak District Tour T-shirt (TBC) before Duncan has to spend the weekend transporting half the Chapter's wardrobe around the country!

Whether you've been to every ride this year or you've been mysteriously "busy" every weekend (we're watching 👀), come along and say hello. New members, old members and prospective members are all welcome.

Miss it, and be prepared to spend Friday wondering what hilarious story everyone is laughing about... and why you're the punchline despite not even being there.

🚨 Registration opens tomorrow! 🚨

We're delighted to have been invited back to display our fabulous motorcycles at the ever-popular Shalbourne Classic Car Show. It's always a fantastic day out with hundreds of classic cars, great displays, plenty to see and, of course, a line-up of gleaming Harleys representing Thames Valley Chapter. 🤩🏍️

Our Head Road Captain, Nick West, will be leading the ride from Chieveley Services (M4 Junction 13).

Please note: The organisers are trying to arrange a slightly later arrival time for us, so the meeting time may change. We'll update everyone if that happens.

There is no charge to attend, but once we're on the show field (usually around 10am), there are no vehicle movements until 4pm for safety reasons. Fortunately, with so many classic cars, trade stands, displays and refreshments, you'll have no trouble filling the day!

🏍️🌺 CIRENCESTER RALLY... LET'S ARRIVE IN STYLE! 🌺🏍️

If you're heading to the 9th Hogsback & Friends Cirencester Convergence Rally this weekend, why not join the Chapter ride and roll in together? There's nothing quite like a line of Thames Valley Harleys arriving as one!

We'll take a relaxed 70-mile route via Newbury, Marlborough and the A419, with a welcome refreshment stop at The Pelican, Froxfield, before making our way to the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester.

🏍️ Ride Distance: 70 miles
⏱️ Ride Time: Approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

With rally check-in opening from 2:00pm, we'll arrive with plenty of time to pitch up, catch up with friends and get into the rally spirit.

🌴 Don't forget... Friday night is Hawaiian Night! Dig out those loud shirts, floral prints and questionable fashion choices. The brighter the better!

Then it's on to:
🔥 Saturday - Ride Out Morning, Hog Roast and lunchtime refreshments
🎸 Saturday Night - Glam Rock Night! Time to dust off the glitter, wigs and platform boots... if you dare!

⚠️ West Wittering Ride Update – A Small Change, Same Great Day Out! 🏍️🏖️

Unfortunately, we've been informed by the West Wittering Estate that, due to the recent spell of extremely dry weather, open flames and BBQs are not permitted on site. As things stand, this restriction is unlikely to be lifted before our visit.

Rather than cancel the event altogether, we've taken the decision to switch the event to a "Bring Your Own Picnic." 🥪🧺

Everything else stays exactly the same!

✅ Fantastic ride led by Nick West
✅ Our own exclusive enclosed area near the beach
✅ A field full of shiny Harley-Davidsons
✅ Great company
✅ The same questionable Chapter banter you've come to know and tolerate!

To help get the party started, the Chapter will provide a small selection of soft drinks and nibbles, so just bring your favourite picnic and settle in for a great afternoon by the sea.

Let's not allow a little fire ban to dampen what is always one of the best days on the Chapter calendar. Pack a picnic, grab a chair or blanket, and come and enjoy a brilliant summer's day with your Chapter family.

Looking for the perfect excuse to get the Harley out this Saturday? We've got you covered!

Join Thames Valley HOG Chapter for a relaxed morning ride to Wi******er Auto Barn, a favourite destination for bikes, coffee and plenty of two-wheeled chat.

📍 Meet: BP Service Station, Swallowfield Bypass (A33), just south of M4 J11
🕙 Meet: 10:00am
🏁 Stands Up: 10:30am

🛣️ Around 30 miles with approximately 1 hour in the saddle – an easy, enjoyable ride through some great Hampshire roads before arriving for refreshments and a catch-up.
