I know it’s half term soon, and Halloween comes first, but I’ve got to get this out there 🎅

We are looking for a Santa to join us at our Christmas charity event on Tuesday 8th December, from 3:15pm–5:00pm.

We’re hoping to find someone suitable, who would be happy to dress as Santa and help us create some festive magic for the children and families attending. This is a charity event, so we would ideally be looking for someone who may be willing to volunteer their time or offer a reduced rate.

The event will be held in Kingswood, and Santa’s role would primarily involve meeting the children, taking photos, chatting with families and helping to make the afternoon extra special.

If this is something you might be able to help with, we’d love to hear from you. We’d also be incredibly grateful if you could pass this request on to anyone you think may be interested.

Thank you so much for considering supporting our charity and helping us make Christmas a little more magical for local families.

Last week at our FREE after-school clubs at Staple Hill Community Hub
Our Terrapins group had afternoon tea followed by games and our Sprouts group made bird seed balls.

This week:

Terrapins will be making Halloween crafts and on Thursday the Sprouts will be planting some flowers and checking the planters..

We still have spaces for each group. Both groups are for children aged 6-11 and run from 3:45-5pm. Terrapins are on Tuesdays and Sprouts on Thursdays during term time.

Last week at our FREE after-school clubs at Staple Hill Community Hub
On Tuesday our Terrapins group made fridge magnets and played may we cross the golden river.
On Thursday our Sprouts group, planted heather, learnt about its uses and history. we talked about our day and played wink murder.

This week:

On Tuesday our Terrapins will be having a teddy bears tea party with lots of fun games.

On Thursday the Sprouts will be making bird feeders and talking about what we can do to help out in the wild over winter.

We still have spaces for each group. Both groups are for children aged 6-11 and run from 3:45-5pm. Terrapins are on Tuesdays and Sprouts on Thursdays during term time.

Last week at our FREE after-school clubs at Staple Hill Community Hub
On Tuesday our Terrapins group made tube animals, whilst talking about their week, and played games.

On Thursday our Sprouts group, made plant signs and tidied the outside space.

This week:

Today our Terrapins will be making fridge magnets and playing football.

On Thursday the Sprouts will be learning about and planting heather.

Last week at our FREE after-school clubs at Staple Hill Community Hub
On Tuesday our Terrapins group made mosaics, played outdoors and had a selection of fruit for snack.

On Thursday our Sprouts group, harvested our potatoes and peppers, and taste tested them.
This week:

Today our Terrapins will be making paper tube animals, holding a talking circle and playing games.

On Thursday the Sprouts will be making plant signs and ensuring the outside space is looking nice and tidy.

We still have spaces for each group. Both groups are for children aged 6-11 and run from 3:45-5pm. Terrapins are on Tuesdays and Sprouts on Thursdays during term time.

Two new courses for the Cygnet autism parent support course are starting in October 2026. It gives parents and carers an opportunity to develop their understanding of autism and look at practical solutions to support their child. There are spaces available to book.

Specifically for parents and carers of autistic children and young people (aged 5-18 years), they run each week for 7 weeks and FREE.

Online course starts on Friday 2 October, 10:00 – 11:30am.

St Chads Church in Patchway starts on Wednesday 7 October, 18:30 – 21:00pm.
Each course lasts 7 weeks.

Last week at our FREE after-school clubs at Staple Hill Community Hub
On Tuesday our Terrapins group made bedroom door signs, sun catchers and tried porridge with different toppings.

On Thursday our Sprouts group, did some leaf printing and planted bulbs that should flower in the spring.

This week:

Today our Terrapins are making mosaics and playing outdoors.

On Tuesday our Terrapins group made birthday signs for the group's birthday timeline and made and decorated a flower press each then, collected flowers to press.

On Thursday our Sprouts group, made and decorated bug hotels.

This week:

Today our Terrapins are making sun catchers and playing outdoors.

On Thursday we will be planting some bulbs for next year and doing some leaf print art.
