As stated previously, please check the date and venue you book as some areas are in different locations throughout the week.

Please only book HAF if your child receives BENEFIT related free school meals (not universal free school meals)

Everyone else book FREE.

Please note that we do not work 24/7 so you may not get approved immediately.

Last week was a fun packed one at our after-school clubs in Staple Hill Community Hub.

Tuesday's Terrapins group played football, did rock painting and shared veggie sticks and hummus as a healthy snack.

The Sprouts group on Thursday spent the session foraging around the hub we collected lemon balm, mint , crab apples , lavender, sage and flowers . They experienced some of the different smells and textures plants have. For snack they tried banana loaf and some tried the crab apples.

This week our Tuesday Terrapins group will be doing crafts for fathers day and the Islamic new year.

On Thursday our sprouts group will be planting flowers.

Terrapins run on Tuesday afternoons 3:45pm-5pm term time and Sprouts run on a Thursday afternoons 3:45-5pm term time (March to October).
We have spaces for new members aged 6 to 11 in each group.

I am pleased to announce that we will be releasing bookings for our summer playscheme on Wednesday 17th June at around 1-2pm.

We have had some challenges with booking venues in some areas, so please ensure you keep a note of dates / venues you book as different days / weeks are in different venues.

If your child receives BENEFIT related free school meals, please book HAF.

For all other children, please book FREE.

Please do not book a space if you are unable to attend or unable to get to that venue. Booking a venue to hold a space does not guarantee you a space elsewhere.
For example, if you want Bradley Stoke and it is full, so you book Stoke Gifford as they have a space, then you cancel on the day as you can’t get there, we may cancel future bookings you make and you will be liable to pay for the space.

We have 4 themed weeks:
Move to the beat
Mythical Creatures
Trash to treasures
Once upon a time.

Lunch is provided for EVERY child which we pay for. Parents must contact us and have this agreed in advance if they would like their child to bring their own lunch as we pay in advance for all lunches. We provide cheese or ham or tuna sandwiches or wraps along with a variety of fruit.

Last week at our after-school clubs in Staple Hill Community Hub both groups had lots of fun.

Tuesday's Terrapins group drew pictures of what they did during half term and took turns sharing what they had done. They also learnt about nocturnal animals and animals that hibernate.

The Sprouts group on Thursday harvested potatoes and everyone took some home.

This week our Tuesday Terrapins group will be rock painting.
On Thursday our sprouts group will be planting new potatoes and learning about different plants.

Our 2 FREE after-school clubs for children aged 6-11 in Staple Hill Community Hub start back this week after the half term break. 3:45pm-5pm Tuesdays and Thursdays

Last term our Tuesday Terrapins group rounded off the term with a Mad Hatters tea party, and our Thursday Sprouts group took part in an outdoor scavenger hunt, learning lots about the different things we found.

This term

Terrapins will be doing science experiments, making pillows , rock painting ,outside play and ending the term with a festival day in.

In sprouts we will be harvesting our potatoes and carrots , making bird feeders and fairy doors, and planting sunflowers, pumpkins and sweetcorn.
