✨ The kindness of strangers ✨

Yesterday we were reminded just how powerful a simple act of kindness can be.

A group visiting Thermae Bath found themselves with a pre-paid space that could no longer be used. Rather than let it go to waste, they generously asked for the entrance fee to be gifted to the next person in the queue.

That person just happened to be one of our Face2Face Parkinson’s volunteers… who then chose to pass that kindness on by donating the amount to Face2Face Parkinson’s 💙

A beautiful ripple of generosity — from one thoughtful gesture to another.

We don’t know who you are, but if you happen to see this, please know how grateful we are. Your kindness has made a difference and truly brightened our day.

Sometimes the smallest actions create the biggest impact 💫

The monthly support group and lunch club will be back at The Chantry Community and Arts Centre The Chantry Community and Arts Centre this Friday 29th May for the regular meeting.

It's an informal drop-in support group, offering tea (or coffee), cake and chat with people living with Parkinson's, their friends and family. You can share your experiences of living with the condition, your knowledge of it, or just the latest football scores or soap plots - whatever takes your fancy!

You can also book a spot for lunch if you like - you'll need to contact Sally for this, and her details are on the flyer.

There's regular representation from Face2Face Parkinson's too, with a small shop of adaptations and aids as well as impartial advice, support and information on issues relating to the condition.

What an incredible night!

Our 80s fundraising event was truly something special – the dance floor was bustling from the very first song and the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish. It was so lovely to see so many people come together to support Face2Face Parkinson's and Saltford Community Association.

We’re delighted to share that the event raised a total profit of £1,342.28, which will be shared between Saltford Community Association and Face2Face Parkinson's. On top of that, an amazing £415 was raised for Face2Face Parkinson's through raffle ticket sales and donations - thank you so much for your generosity!

A huge thank you to our fantastic band, Replic80s, who kept everyone dancing all night - you were absolutely brilliant!

Big thanks to Hearoic - Ear, care and everywhere for sponsoring the event and making the evening possible.

Special thanks to Vic, Dylan, Laura, Lyndsey, Sally, Liz and all the SCA volunteers for your hard work and support on the night and to everyone who helped with packing up at the end. Also to Susy for the fabulous poster and advert designs.

And of course, thank you to everyone who came along, danced, laughed and made it such a memorable evening.

From all of us at Face2Face Parkinson’s - thank you 💜
