🌈🧠 ADHD AWARENESS MONTH — DAY 13
✨ ADHD BRAINS CAN BE BLOOMIN' BRILLIANT TOO! ✨
I'm a woman of many talents… and I genuinely believe my ADHD has a lot to do with that! ❤️
Give me a problem to solve, a project to get stuck into or an opportunity to get creative, and my brain comes alive!
I've never been someone who fits neatly into one box. My interests are varied, my ideas are endless, and I'm forever finding new things I want to learn, create or get involved in.
And do you know what?
I absolutely LOVE that about myself! 🥰
💡 MY CREATIVITY!
I absolutely LOVE creating things. Whether it's resources, designing, developing projects or coming up with new ideas, my brain is constantly thinking…
"Ooooh, what if we tried THIS?!" 😂
I love thinking outside the box, finding different solutions and challenging the idea that things have to be done a certain way just because they've always been done that way.
🚨 MY ABILITY TO HANDLE EMERGENCIES!
Put me in an emergency situation and something just clicks.
My brain goes straight into problem-solving mode!
I can think quickly, adapt, stay focused and work out what needs doing.
It's almost like my brain says…
RIGHT. WE'VE GOT THIS! 💪😂
🔥 MY PASSION FOR PROJECTS!
When something really interests me, I can become incredibly focused.
I research, plan, create and throw myself into making things happen.
Sometimes I have more ideas than hours in the day! 🤣
🌈 BEING A WOMAN OF MANY TALENTS!
Education, SEND, neurodiversity, community projects, animals, gardening, creativity…
I have so many different interests and skills, and I genuinely believe my ADHD plays a part in that.
And I LOVE that about myself. ❤️
But here's something important…
Celebrating my ADHD strengths doesn't mean ignoring my struggles.
I can be creative AND struggle with executive functioning.
I can be brilliant in an emergency AND become overwhelmed by everyday demands.
I can be passionate and productive AND experience burnout.
Two things can be true at once.
Not everyone experiences ADHD as a strength, and that's absolutely valid too.
For me, learning to understand my brain has also meant learning to appreciate it.
My ADHD brain can be chaotic, unpredictable and exhausting… but it's also creative, passionate, resourceful and bloody good in a crisis! 😂❤️
And I'm proud of the woman I am.
🌈 Different doesn't only mean difficult.
💬 A gentle question: What's something you genuinely appreciate about the way YOUR brain works?
❤️ Progression, not perfection.
