There’s a lot of anecdotal evidence about which companies make good corporate fundraising prospects. Maybe someone in your leadership team got their fingers burnt by the insurance industry, so now they think no charity should go near it. Or perhaps your boss had huge success with fashion brands a decade ago and decided they’re the silver bullet. But the truth, as always, is more nuanced.

Ziptrix have crunched the numbers on over 18,000 unique corporate partnerships and Fireside Fundraising have added their insights to finally give a robust, evidence-based insights to the question of who will give to charities like yours… and whether Charity of the Year is worth it for a charity like you. We’ll explore what the data tells us about corporate giving, moving beyond assumptions and anecdotes to understand the patterns that really matter. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of where to focus your prospecting and how to make smarter decisions about your corporate fundraising strategy.

Key Learnings:
– Which industries are most likely to give to charities like yours
– Which industries are most likely to give money
– How company size, location and other factors change corporate giving behaviour

We’re all about giving our team the flexibility to work in a way that suits them. This week, Tracey is putting that into practice, working remotely from sunny France!☀️

Because flexible working can mean working from wherever works best for you. 💚

One of the most rewarding aspects of our consultancy work is reviewing projects with clients and seeing the impact of their work first-hand. Site visits provide invaluable insight, and there's no substitute for experiencing this in person.

Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting with Hull Museums and visiting several of their fantastic sites, including the Spurn Lightship, Streetlife Museum, Wilberforce House Museum, Ferens Art Gallery and the Hull and East Riding Museum of Archaeology

It was inspiring to see Hull's rich maritime and cultural heritage brought to life through engaging exhibitions, remarkable collections and interactive experiences. Even better was seeing so many families exploring the museums, discovering local history and making the most of a day out together.

Although we didn't get the chance to visit Hull Maritime Museum, we're looking forward to its reopening on 8 August following its extensive transformation. It promises to be a fantastic addition to Hull's summer attractions and the perfect opportunity to rediscover the city's proud maritime story.

Congratulations to everyone involved in creating such inspiring visitor experiences.

Happy Yorkshire Day! 💙

Today, we're celebrating the people, charities and organisations that make Yorkshire such a special place. Every day, we're privileged to work alongside incredible causes that are changing lives and strengthening communities across the county.

Being based in West Yorkshire means this isn't just where we work, it's where we're rooted. We're proud to support the people and organisations who make Yorkshire a place filled with kindness, resilience and community spirit.

Here's to Yorkshire, and to everyone making a positive difference across God's Own County.

🎨✨From Moomins to Monet ✨🎨

There's something for everyone at Ferens Gallery this summer!

We had the pleasure of visiting Hull Museums, one of our clients last week and experiencing two fantastic FREE exhibitions.

🌿 The Wonders of Moominvalley
The magical world of the Moomins is an interactive exhibition, packed with fun events and activities throughout the summer holidays. Perfect for children and families!

🖼️ Monet: Inspiring the Senses
Experience Claude Monet's work like never before. Through sound, smell and touch, discover the colours and beauty of his paintings in a unique multisensory exhibition.

See Monet's The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuil (1872), on loan from The National Gallery, alongside works from the Ferens collection and inspiring multisensory artworks created by Flourish, a group of disabled and neurodivergent young people from Hull.

📅 Both exhibitions run until early September.
🎟️ FREE entry to both exhibitions and the gallery.

Don't miss this wonderful summer experience for all ages!

Are you planning to apply to the Places of Worship Renewal Fund?

The Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF) is set to reopen for its second round in September, offering grants of between £10,000 and £1 million for urgent repairs and essential improvements to listed places of worship across England.

Eligible projects must involve an active place of worship in England that is listed at Grade I, Grade II* or Grade II. Priority will be given to projects in areas with the greatest need and those that deliver strong community benefit.

As this is a competitive fund, a strong application is essential. Many organisations have excellent projects but struggle to demonstrate need, impact and alignment with fund priorities in a way that stands out to assessors.

If you’re considering an application to the Places of Worship Renewal Fund, contact Good Fundraising today to discuss how we can support your project.
