Another fantastic Kids Fun Day at Wickstead Park organised by Rotary for special needs children and their carers. Our club also extended this to young carers for all the support they give to their families. Over 50 people were provided with a tasty lunch!

DISABILITY GAMES
We had 125 competitors taking part on the day, partaking in over 400 activities. The competitors were drawn from 17 organisations arriving from destinations drawn from a wide area. These participants were each supported by enthusiastic carers, parents and friends. 11 Rotary clubs provided the organisation. These, together with the other individual volunteers made up our 100-strong workforce.

Rory Underwood, former England rugby union player and deputy lieutenant for Leicestershire attended with Moira Penney our District Govenor and Tad Szymborski our Community Servive lead.

The task was challenging but all teams succeeded in getting to the final challenge of testing the vehicles they had constructed. Congratulations to the students for showing such enthusiasm.
