Mary Ann Evans Hospice will feature alongside other local hospices on tonight’s BBC Midlands Today, highlighting the ongoing financial challenges the hospice sector faces.
Our Chief Executive, Liz Hancock, openly shares the significant financial pressures the hospice faces, and calls on the government to take urgent action to protect the long-term sustainability of local hospice care, ensuring patients and families can continue to access vital end-of-life support in the future.
• During the last 12 months, Mary Ann provided over 5000 hours of personal care delivered to patients in their own homes.
• Over 96% of our patients cared for during this period were able to fulfil their wish to die in their own home, surrounded by their loved ones.
This year Mary Ann Evans Hospice marks 35 years of providing compassionate care to patients, and their families, living in Nuneaton, Bedworth & North Warwickshire. Without urgent intervention by the government this vital care is at risk. In Liz’s words, “We need help, and we need it now!”.
To show your support please Stand with Us and tune in tonight at 6.30pm to BBC Midlands Today. 🌻
