On the 21st October we organised Wear It Pink Day! It was wonderful to see so many people wearing pink, having fun and fundraising!

Staff enjoyed plenty of delicious cakes, pastries and treats throughout the day while raising awareness for a fantastic cause.

We also held a raffle and a Best Pink Outfit competition. Congratulations to our raffle winners and to Maria, who was crowned our Best Outfit Winner!

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised over £130, with the majority going to Breast Cancer Now and a small contribution being donated to People in Action.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the day such a success!

Care Show 2026

Members of our Senior Management team attended the Care Show at the NEC on 7th and 8th October. The two-day event gave Chris, Cheryl, Danielle, Alex & Raj the chance to explore the latest developments in the sector, network with peers, and take part in talks and conversations led by sector leaders.

A particular highlight was seeing Raj, our Executive Director, chair a panel discussion on digital technologies, a first for People In Action. Raj was joined by Kiran Gill of Azure Care and Rich Tomlinson of Dignus Group. The session was very well attended, and all three speakers did a fantastic job.

A busy few months for our Senior Management team!

Our Senior Team continue to keep their ears to the ground on the developments taking place in our sector, and network appropriately.

Alex, one of our Operations Managers, in September visited the Digital Care summit in London which brought together leaders from adult social care, health and technology. The summit focused on digital transformation, partnership working and neighbourhood health, with sessions exploring how digital tools, better data sharing and stronger collaboration can support more joined-up, preventative and person-centred care. All of this will assist Alex and PIA further in the future.

This week Alex, along with members of our Senior Team, visited the Care show at the NEC in Birmingham. The two day event presented plenty of opportunities to listen to talks and witness first hand the developments taking place both as a sector, and the products being offered. If attending the days wasn’t enough, Alex was stopped for an interview to give her thoughts on a suppliers product offering, which she took in her stride! Well done to Alex!

At People in Action, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health. Tomorrow is a reminder to take a moment for yourself, check in with those around you, and remember that it's okay not to be okay.

Whether it's taking a walk, talking to a friend, enjoying a hobby, or simply taking time to rest, small steps can make a big difference.

It's tomorrow – a day to talk, listen, and support good mental health together. 🌍💜
