Your Voice Can Help Make a Difference

Cancer has touched far too many families, friendships and communities. That’s why the continued use of glyphosate-based w**d killers in places where people live, walk and play deserves serious scrutiny.

Glyphosate has been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as “probably carcinogenic to humans”. Whatever your view on the science and regulation, surely protecting people, wildlife and our environment should be the priority.

We should be looking for safer, non-toxic alternatives for managing w**ds in our gardens, parks and public spaces - not simply accepting harmful chemicals as the norm.

A petition is calling on the UK Government to ban glyphosate and encourage safer alternatives.

If you agree that public health and the environment should come first, please take a moment to sign the petition and share it with others.

You’re invited to join More in Common in Action – a free event bringing people together from across Nottinghamshire and beyond to build connections, share ideas, and explore how communities can work better together. Free lunch and refreshments provided.

At the event, you will hear from speakers including Kim Leadbeater MP, take part in practical workshops, and have the opportunity to meet and network with others who care about their communities. Lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge throughout the day.
