We were so sad to hear that the much loved Dolly Parton has died.
Dolly has been such an inspirational singer, songwriter and human being, and her music has brought joy to millions of people around the world. She had that wonderful ability to make people smile, sing, dance and feel good, and that is something very close to our hearts at The Joyful Jukebox.

Dolly's music is very much part of our sing-alongs, so we'll be celebrating Dolly in the best way we know how by singing her songs!

The award celebrates groups that create an inclusive community where everyone feels part of it and that’s exactly what we strive to do at Joyful Jukebox.

Our sessions get people moving in all sorts of ways, dancing, clapping, actions, playing hand percussion, or simply joining in with a favourite song. There’s no pressure and no “right” way to participate.

What a lovely afternoon!

We were delighted to welcome Pippa from the Rushcliffe Social Prescribing team to our Joyful Jukebox session at Radcliffe on Trent Methodist Church yesterday as part of their Friendship Calendar.

She's captured the afternoon beautifully, lots of singing, smiles, laughter, friendship and connection.

Thank you for coming along and for this wonderful write-up. We’ve loved being part of the Friendship Calendar and sharing the joy of singing with the Rushcliffe community!

What do people say about The Joyful Jukebox?

We could tell you how much our sessions mean to people, but we think it's much better to let our participants tell you themselves.

From feeling happier and less stressed, to seeing a loved one "come alive with the music", these are the moments that make our sessions so special.

We’re delighted to be joining this fantastic FREE Summer Play Extravaganza in Ruddington!

We’ll be bringing a kid-friendly Joyful Jukebox sing-along, packed with nursery rhymes and age-appropriate songs for little ones to join in with.

There’ll be lots of other wonderful local organisations bringing free activities, information and support for families too, so come along and enjoy an afternoon of summer fun!

Is your regular singing group taking a summer break? Why not try something a little different and join us at The Joyful Jukebox?

Our sing-alongs are relaxed, welcoming and all about enjoying music together. We sing familiar songs from across the decades, with lyrics provided and no pressure to perform. Whether you're a confident singer or prefer to quietly join in, you'll be made very welcome.

There's no need to book, simply come along, grab a cuppa, have a chat and enjoy an uplifting morning or afternoon of music and friendship. Singing is a wonderful way to boost your mood, keep active and meet new people.
