The latest club match was held on Sunday on the canal at Furnace Lane Nether Heyford on a mild but very windy day.
1st was Les Goodridge with 5 pounds 3 ounces of mainly Roach, 2nd Paul Minney with a Roach catch of 4 pounds 14 ounces and 3rd John Balhatchet with 3 pounds 12 ounces. Sections were won by Dave Gibbins with 3 pounds 6 ounces and John Broughton with 2 pounds 10 ounces.
The next points club match is on Sunday 8th November on Castle Ashby Scotland pond

We had a fun time at the session last night.

We carved pumpkins, made some magic maize monsters and recapped on safety when out fishing.

Our latest club points match was held on Sunday on Silver Lake Wappenham (moved from Canon's Ashby due to low water levels) and was fished by 12 on a showery and breezy day. 1st on the day was John Broughton with 13 pounds 8 ounces including 4 Bream, 2nd Bob Coles with 10 pounds and 3rd Mick Goodridge with 8 pounds 12 ounces. There were 9 weights over 4 pounds. The next match is on Sunday 25th October at Furnace Lane canal

Some of our juniors have been out fishing at various venues over the weekend.

This past Saturday 6 juniors took part in the Daiwa Global Communities celebration in Shropshire.

5 of the juniors won trophies for having the heaviest bag in their teams of 3;

LSI won the most improved cadet trophy and BI received a certificate as one of the nominees.👏

Some sections fished harder than others. Well done to all the juniors for persevering. Super proud of you all.

Yesterday was our last Let's Fish event for 2026. The participants had a great time with only one blank.

This past Thursday evening we did knot tying, unhooking fish, fish anatomy, handling fish and bait throwing.
We had fun.

Our 2nd junior sea fishing trip yesterday was absolutely amazing.

We couldn't have asked for better weather, the sun was out, the sea was relatively calm and the fish were on the ball.

Everyone caught, ranging from pout, skates, whiting, dog fish, with misses of conga. We had a lot of fun and laughs, great bonding session.

Thanks to the crew at Neverland Charters, Tony and Andy for your patience and support, Ricky for supporting and Coach David for arranging.

Roll on 2027 trips.

At NNAC juniors, it's about creating opportunities for young people to try different things, building up skills, such as leadership, communication, team work, raising self-esteem and confidence in support of maintaining healthy wellbeing and making friends.
