This week, young people turned something simple into something powerful. 💚 They didn’t just bake cakes - they started conversations.
As part of SPACE's Social Action Week, a group of young people made and shared cakes across our community in Newton Abbot - with police, hospital staff, patients, care homes, as well as local businesses, and charities. Each cake carried more than kindness. It carried their voice. With a glimpse into what it really feels like to be young today. Their realities. Their challenges. Their hopes.
Now, they’re asking for your voice! What was it like to be young in your time? What shaped you? What do you want young people today to know?
This is how we break down barriers. This is how we build real connection. By sharing experiences across generations, roles, and spaces, we can begin to break down barriers, build understanding, and strengthen the connections that make a community truly thrive together. Because when we truly listen, we don’t just understand - we belong, together!
