It’s been a bumper year for the Teignbridge Lottery so far, with another £250 winner this weekend!

This year, we’ve already celebrated one jackpot winner who scooped £25,000, one £2,000 winner, five £250 winners, and more than 80 £25 prize winners.

Our lottery plays a vital role in supporting local services and charities across Teignbridge. Since launching in December 2022, it has grown to support over 100 good causes — from swimming pools and scout groups to community transport schemes.

For every £1 ticket sold, 60% goes directly to good causes in the district — 50% to a cause chosen by the player and 10% to a central fund supporting the wider community.

Draws take place every Saturday night and each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance of winning, with a top prize of £25,000.

Join Charlotte from Together Devon for an informative overview of the service and the support available for people affected by drug and alcohol use.

The session will cover:
✅ Treatment pathways and referral processes
✅ What to expect from initial appointments
✅ The different roles within the service, including Family Workers, Criminal Justice Workers and Support Workers
✅ Support groups including SMART Recovery and Flourish in Nature

You will also learn about:
🔹 Recognising and responding to alcohol and op**te withdrawal
🔹 Overdose awareness and current trends in the community
🔹 Naloxone – what it is, how to use it, and how to access in-person training and take-home kits

This is a valuable opportunity for professionals, volunteers and anyone wanting to better understand local drug and alcohol support services.
