Representatives from many YWAM Ireland teams and a beautiful variety of local churches partnered up with our friends at in Derry/Londonderry last night for a creative Halloween outreach! We handed out free Fringe-roasted coffee and tea as people walked by during the festivities that were going on, and some people went on prayer walks around the city centre as artists and intercessors asked the Holy Spirit for words and pictures of encouragement to share with anyone who stopped by and wanted to participate.

It was really inspiring to see so many people come out of their prayer sessions lighter than when they first arrived— Some people even encountered Jesus for the first time in their lives!

Moments like this remind us of why it’s so important to take time to be present with people. The Creator of the universe made each one of us uniquely and wants to meet us where we are. By partnering with Holy Spirit, we all also have the opportunity to go and do the same.

…And so, we go!

Happy to say that the rain didn’t stop us from having a fun and meaningful time of connection with our fellow YWAM Ireland community at the recent gathering in Enniskillen! Belinda Chaplin came all the way from Bosnia to share stories about mission and calling that inspired and encouraged us all as we continue in our various ministry expressions to share His love and build His Kingdom on earth. Excited for the season that’s ahead and grateful for all God has done thus far!

Absolutely heartbreaking flooding going on across the island! The heart of Newry town centre has been largely underwater for days now and continues to fight off the rain that keeps on coming. Please keep Newry in your prayers!

Retail and hospitality chiefs have called for businesses to be given financial assistance following flooding in Newry, as Northern Ireland braces for the impact of Storm Ciarán.

Remember to make time for simple things that bring joy, like slow mornings over a cup of coffee and quality time with good friends.

The pressures of life will always demand more from you, but don’t let busyness become your lifestyle. Joy moments build us up where obligation breaks us down.

Make more time for joy!

The summer YWAM Ireland Staff Gathering of 2023 has come to a close! It was a great time of reconnection, testimonies, prayer and thought-provoking sessions.

Our team was asked to host a family fun night, so we put together a mini Variety Show packed with performances and mini game shows… the craic was mighty for sure!

We love being a part of a movement with a heart is to “know God and make Him known.” Here’s to another year of living that out in the various ways God has called each of our teams across this breathtaking island! 💚

Earlier this month, part of our team was on the prophetic art team at the Kingdom Come conference in Antrim!
It was a beautiful time of worship and creativity, and many deeply profound paintings came out of the evening that sparked conversations and encouraged people in attendance.

One aspect of ministry that Kadie and Bri have been involved in over the last number of years has been being part of a wonderful collective of prophetic artists who periodically get together to worship, pray, and build community amongst other artists, and also plan intentional times to minister together through creative arts at various events and worship gatherings!
________________________________
If you are unfamiliar with the term "prophetic art", really all it means is sharing the heart of God to comfort, strengthen, and bring encouragement in a visual way, through a creative medium (such as paint or ink 🎨)!

Truthfully God always is longing to speak to each of us, in both a personal and a collective way, and we passionately believe that one way He can do that is through the arts.
Art speaks to the heart directly, and can be deeply personal and meaningful.
What a beautiful and special thing it is to encourage and uplift other people by sharing about how God sees us and made us to be, and to do it in a creative way.

Maybe you don't see yourself as a stereotypical "artist", but the reality is we're all creatively wired and have something to bring to the table, no matter the expression!

How could you use your individual gifts to share God's heart and to encourage the people around you?

It’s been a packed week so far at New Wine Ireland in Sligo! We popped up our Fringe coffee initiative to help keep the people going for it and it’s been great meeting so many inspiring and encouraging people from around the island. We will be here serving drinks until tomorrow evening, so stop by if you’re in sligo and we will see you there!

Be sure to follow our official Fringe Coffee Co. page for all things coffee!

What an awesome time of serving at Summer Madness 2023! Our team ran the on-site coffee shop and a team from YWAM An Cuan - Rostrevor helped out looking after the campers in subcamps.

Our coffee project, Fringe Coffee Co. , seeks to be a place of connection and community. Popping up Fringe alongside the inspiring crew at Madness is such a privilege.

We hung up a “Power 2 Change” interactive wall in the cafe asking young people how they could play a part in building God’s Kingdom on earth. The responses were beautiful! So many spoke about showing kindness to everyone and loving people as Jesus loves us.

If you’re looking for a great way to volunteer in the summer here on the Emerald Isle, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the folks at Summer Madness !

Can’t wait for next year! 🙌🏼

Had a surprise trip out to this year’s group of BorderWalkers today! We popped up our espresso station at Annagh Social Farm CIC where the walkers made a pit stop on the 200 mile pilgrimage along the borderlands of the Emerald Isle.

Our friendship with Annagh Social Farm began years ago during one of the BorderWalk events when we met Jennifer and Simon, who have been using their farm to create a safe and interactive community for people with autism. They’re truly an inspiration and it’s such an honour to have been a part of various ministry projects with them over the years!

Not only did we have the espresso cart surprise for the walkers on their journey, but were also able to visit the Annagh Social Farm Fruit Maze we helped plant and design themed centrepieces for many years ago. It’s inspiring to see how far it’s all come from those early days when the fruit bushes were just cuttings that we planted during numerous rain and hailstorms!

That’s probably a good lesson to pay attention to. Sometimes planting things of significance doesn’t always mean you’ll have perfect weather in the process. Dreaming with God is risky business and comes with a lot of work, but trusting His guidance even on the difficult days will reap a harvest one day.

Keep leaning in, even on those stormy days that try to make you forget the garden that’s ahead. He is faithful.
